After the opposition won the last election the presidency seems determined to use every means to try and subvert the law using appointed members of the supreme court to try a political coup d'etat which congress has rejected. With Venezuala plunging deeper and deeper into (*)(*)(*)(*) its time for Chavismo to (*)(*)(*)(*) off over the horizon but they are struggling against the willl of the people for them to leave.

Either a military coup or civil war is the only solution. Dictators and socialism always lead to the same result, present day Venezuala. Everyone is broke and starving in squalid conditions, except, of course, the ruling politicians, who live a luxurious lifestye.

Only a return to Democracy or the slaughter of thousands of anti socialists will prevent a civil war. The story said Maduro wants to arm half a million vigilantes. If he does that, thousands of his opponents will be slaughtered and he will remain in power. The starvation, shortages, and criminal violence, will remain except for the government personnel and their paid cronies, who are wealthy. Another socialism success story.
That is exactly what my wife is worried will happen there. She is also worried that what is happening in Venezuela could be duplicated in Ecuador as well.
