Is this a symbol of hate? Or is it just a symbol of regional pride?

I say its a symbol of hate.

Why? Because the South has existed for more than 244 years and yet the symbol of their identity is a flag that represents a nation that existed for less than 5 years and had white supremacy and human slavery as its core ideology???

    wtf is that?

No one minds the South having a symbol of unity & pride, just not anything related to the clearly racist Confederacy.

You're entitled to your opinion, but it's just that. Opinions do not constitute facts. The Confederate flag has its own history. Those who choose to honor that history (which is not related to slavery) can define, for themselves, what that means. I grew up with Confederate flags all around me as a kid and never gave slavery a fleeting thought.

My opinion is that the left is continually looking for ways to censor white people and conduct a war of genocide against the culture and history of white people. Once you've finished waging wars on the south's symbology, you will have to go after the American flag for it was the same flag flying over the White House when the United States Supreme Court ruled that blacks could not be citizens. In my opinion, the war is about to take a turn where these daily polls to justify hatred of whites is going to clash with an equal and opposite reaction:

Isn't that the fight you really wanted?

which is exactly what the Confederate flag is about: protecting and defending racist white people against imaginary boogeymen.

I don't need a flag to protect me against any non-existent boogeymen. You just need an excuse to hate people you don't like.

So does that mean if you were educated by this guy:

You too would agree that the Betsy Ross flag is a symbol hate, equivalent to a swastika or burning cross?

Yawn. Your opinion does not constitute fact. You'll have to bear in mind, I was taught in schools that flew the Confederate flag daily. They did not teach us that the flag was about hate. That is something the left had to make up to justify their projections.

Do you hate yourself? I post one time and you became obsessed with my opinion. Sounds like you may have a problem. Just saying.

thats cause they hid the truth about the confederacy from you.

it was a nation built upon a foundation of racism against non-whites.

they made it very clear, this was their intention.

the purpose of the Confederacy was to preserve, protect and defend white supremacy over non-whites.

On a good day, that is a half truth. Your obsession with my opinion is not going to change it, regardless of the political cow manure you spread. Anything less than the whole truth is a lie.

have you read the Cornerstone Speech by the Vice-President of the Confederacy?

it makes it very clear what the basis and core ideology of the CSA was.

here's a hint: it was white supremacy over "inferior" black people

Explain why it's a silly idea?

The American flag as flown over a slave country far far longer than the confederate flag did.

We are talking symbols after all so there is empirical answer to this.

the core ideology of the USA was not white supremacy, nor was it the basis of our foundation.

As a kid I found the Confederate battle flag as a symbol of rebellion that had nothing to do with slavery. And I watched a show on television about a rebel soldier and they sold these Yankee and Confederate hats and as kids we played war. I liked the Confederate side because the flag was cool. It is a cool looking flag. This was about the time of the 100 year anniversary of the Civil war. I remember the last Civil war veteran dying. He was a drummer boy.

The Rebel was the name of the show. Starring Nick Adams.

I find it fascinating, that in an attempt to claim that the CSA flag is not a symbol of racist hate, someone says that there is a vast conspiracy to commit genocide against white people and their culture.

    :p

Why do you have a pic of the Confederate Battle flag and not a pic of the Confederate flag?

You should spend less time hating and more time engaging and talking. Not all people who have despicable view points are lost to society and are horrible people. Some are just woefully ignorant. Showing love and compassion for people who are totally at 9dds with you beliefs can open a doorway for changing someone's views.

It is a cool looking flag. And telling people it is a symbol of hate and saying it should not be displayed will make some people more determined to display it. So when you see the pickup running down the road with two rebel flags flying know that you are partially responsible.

I can see why some folks would find it offensive, and those folks have every right to voice their offense.

What I can't understand is how some people can honestly think that everyone who displays it feels it means the same thing they do. Its certainly a symbol of slavery to some. It certainly isn't for others. Until these past few years, I'd only ever heard it referred to as 'the Confederate Flag' in history books. Everyone always just called it the 'rebel flag.' When I see it, I understand it to mean 'I'm a rebel- I do what I want instead of what you think I'm supposed to do.'

I still think thats what most people displaying it are trying to convey.

Though certainly to many its 'southern pride', and Im sure there are a few people who actually want slavery back...

The Stars & Bars has been hijacked and
given associations not true to its' meaning.
Such as association with Nazism & swastikas.
The VP of the CSA was Jewish as were many soldiers.

Ref.: Mark Twain, "Concerning The Jew".

Where do you get the idea that the southern states are "clearly racist"? I think it's your imagination.
