Just something to give you guys to think about: God is not almighty because he cannot create a stone he himself isn't able to lift.
The Paradox of the Stone. Omnipotence is a (*)(*)(*)(*)(*) [female dog]. One hell of a philosophical minefield of the theist cannot navigate without contradicting himself.
Allmighty means somehow 'to be more mighty than only endless mighty' - so your example is combining two different forms of might. No one is for example able to create energy. We are only able to transform energy. The energy of this world is not endless - gods energy is more than only endless. The thought you are using divides the world in two parts - in a more powerful and in a less powerful part. But I'm not sure wether the power of god is really splitable in different parts. Perhaps god could create this stone with a promise like "I will never move you". http://youtu.be/-ey9wYTOgew
To be correct: God doesn't defeat the drivers of iron chariots. That's something I would call "the rainbow problem". http://youtu.be/LrSo5YtrA2U
Reminds of the question 'can God create a square circle?', and other similar ones relating to logical contradictions. Some would hold the belief that even God is bound by logic, but then if God gave rise to the universe, including the logic principals inherent in this universe, shouldn't he be able to change them. Or did logic exist prior to God's intervention?
God also can't produce/inspire a religious book that isn't full of blatant contradictions, so he clearly doesn't exist.
I see some people have been busy with idle thoughts.......asking a question that they don't have an answer for or willing to accept one that would be given if it is not the one they want to hear, but ignoring the one that stares them in the face every day.
I'm yet to find one. But I'm also yet to find one critic who after I have proven them wrong are willing to admit that the error was on their part.......a critic will always seek to find fault in anything other them himself and what he believes.
So this is a first for you: http://skepticsannotatedbible.com/contra/by_name.html The link is 461 contradictions in the Bible. You can't find that many in The God Delusion by Dawkins, I bet. Therefore Dawkins is more credible than the writers of the Bible. This "god" is so uncaring, so aloof, so busy not stopping the horrific Ebola virus, etc. that he simply won't reveal himself and tell Christians to improve the Bible and remove the contradictions. It's ALMOST as if he doesn't really exist.
Matthew 7:6 (ASV) 6 Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast your pearls before the swine, lest haply they trample them under their feet, and turn and rend you.
"Dogs" and "swine"....not a very inclusive religion. Are you going to create a version of the Bible where the inconsistencies are removed?
Jesus' words are very clear to me.....don't waste time with people with swine and dog mentality..............Jesus did not wase time trying to convince His critics.....He let them believe whatever they wanted to believe.
Why? It was not little boy and fat man who murdered hundreds of thousands of japanese men, women and children. It were people who did not believe to be responsible in the eyes of god. http://youtu.be/uDKwhz0fuRM
who pushed the nagasaki, hiroshima buttons (made the orders and carried them out)? kind of like liars too. .
