There is nothing with praying. Everyone "wishes" for something whether for himself or for others. But, yes, publicizing it has a tarnishing effect particularly when it is to mock someone else (as the OP is doing) and that employs what is supposed to be a pious manoeuvre into an aggressive attack.

That's not "living". That is dormancy. You have much to learn but you are not receptive to the messages being sent to you. Well, ignorance is OK. We are all ignorant about one thing or another. What is not very OK is refusing (avoiding) knowledge, particularly when it is a gift to you from others. What is absolutely not OK is selective (voluntary) ignorance. That is exactly what you are doing. Here. See for yourself:

My goodness! You certainly didn't like Kode's response so you demanded a bushel full of "proof". However, when you like the response then "proof" is an unnecessary bother ......

True was "enough for you" from trevorw2539. It's even "Cool".

THE BOTTOM LINE: "Leaving you alone" (I refer to your own statement in the quote above) is what you prefer so that you won't be confronted with the issues of life that you have premeditatedly sorted out of your safe place. Dormancy. Selective ignorance.

Yep. Binge drinking and having orgies all night has nothing to do with the Golden Rule...

That's nice - did you intend on addressing the topic at some point - or are the bad thoughts invoked by the topic too much to bear ?

or - perhaps you would like to tell us something about passions and lusts and how these relate to something other than your own musings to yourself in the mirror.

You post a lot of words to explain away a claimed all powerful God allowing little children to die of thirst. "Deep read" is your code for self brainwash.

The following quote describes God's design. Every single member of a sentient species is designed by God to die of starvation, i.e., a horrible death. Why does God hate animals?

Incisors and canines grow throughout a hippopotamus's life; the canine tusks can reach 3 feet in length. However, premolars and molars do not grow continually. ... When these teeth become too worn, a hippo can no longer chew and so cannot eat, and will die of starvation.

Exactly. The progression goes like this: man evolves into a thinking rational being, creates Gods and spirits to explain the real world, moves on to making these Gods into moral judges, gives the Gods omnipotence and then when asked why is their so much pain and suffering, God is then given a convenient escape route. Free will. Perfect answer for a truly illiterate and miserable human being living thousands of years ago. Then this religion assumes full power over the state for centuries, forces everyone to believe or face death and pretty soon everyone buys this crap or dies.

Because he knows he has no answers. The concept of free will was created long before the Christians took it on as a convenient ruse. Pandora's box, Prometheus, many Gods were made responsible for man's conditions and actions way before Yahweh was invented out of Pagan religions. Free will makes the person responsible, it makes them fear God which makes them good little Jews or Christians or Muslims. Remember, the goal was control, power and wealth.
