Taking millions from foreign governments while SOS and using an unrecorded, private email address the whole time... I figure that could land a non-Clonton in prison. Is she done? Is this why she still hasn't declared her candidacy? I think at the very least this would dog her for an entire election cycle and possibly even into a re-election cycle as a backdrop. I don't think any other candidate has a skeleton comparable to this in their closet.

Do you think it's a problem? Should we be offended by all that smoke?

I think it will not make one bit of difference in the election. Those offended by Hillary already were before she even became Secretary of State and those that support her will not be persuaded to be otherwise unless she is actually convicted of some crime. Know why that is, it comers does to two causes, one is that some lover her, just like others do the same with their favorite politician, the rest will support her because the right has whined on and on about this and that yet have yet to make any accusation move beyond that phase and move it onto a legal issue, it tells some that much of it is simply politics and not based on actual wrong doing. I do not support her but like many others if the GOP gets stupid and runs someone against her like Cruz I will give her my vote as the lesser of two evils, run a sane candidate and the GOP has it wrapped up. So will the GOP win by finding someone people can support in large numbers or will they be stupid?

The anchor baby demographic won't really care too much. It doesn't affect the process of signing up their dependents for SNAP and other entitlements.

    I think she's done.

This email thing will blow up on her if she throws her hat in the ring.

She's claiming she did not use the email address for classified info - but the way the hacker got to her was through a highly sensitive document from Blumenthal, concerning terrorist activity in Libya and Egypt.

Guccifer is in in prison, but there will be many more hackers now going after Hillary and those on her email list. Anonymous, likely.

I predict that we see some Democrats announce soon that they are running, because Hillary is crippled now.

I don't think she can get past this. She will be under investigation the whole time and Obama has already thrown her to the wolves with the statement that the White House TOLD the heads of the agencies to use the secure email account.

    Hillary's done.

I think it'll make a difference because it makes her look corrupt. There are plenty of "swing" voters who won't want any of this stuff.

I like your theories, I would add that the "not classified" defense doesn't fly for me because she apparently used the private email for all of her SOS correspondence. Does the SOS not have any classified correspondence? That strikes me as unlikely. So either she used the official email system part of the time or they're lying. I haven't seen any indication that she used the official email system.

Done? Nah, Teflon man... she's Teflon. She's above the law.... don't y'all know that? The current DOJ would never go after her. She could slay children on ABC TV in prime time and get a pass. She's not done. Not by a long shot.

Probably not but it certainly speaks volumes about her bad judgement and put's suspicions about her motives.

If GOP, she would definitely be done, but then again the Republicans at least pay some lip service to running ethical candidates. The Complex doesn't care as long as it can fool its low common denominator blocs. Personality disorders seem to have a chilling effect on ethics.

If it takes this scandal for her to look corrupt, then this will really mean nothing compared to the trail of scandals she's left behind.

I don't think this will stick. Nothing else ever has.

If you read the directive at http://www.archives.gov/records-mgmt/bulletins/2013/2013-03.html

It clearly states it is reaffirming and clarifying rules already in place and expected to be followed.

Bad judgement does not equal whether it is legal or not. Bad judgement is a Secretary of State that thinks it is OK to send official emails using an email account that is hosted on a computer in her home. Perhaps it is her age and reflects the fact that she totally does not understand technology and how an email server works but questions that need to be answered on why she thought this was a good idea. A government email server is probably supported 24/7 by a tech group. There are people monitoring the server and the traffic. There are people that a paid full time to guard against hacking, phishing emails, viruses and other malicious email attacks. There are people paid to keep the email server software up to date to ensure against hacking and attacks. There are people that ensure emails from known malicious groups are blocked from ever reaching the government officials. When there are breaches in security there are people the send out instruction and how to deal with the issues. Who is doing that for her home email server? Is it Bill? Does she have an tech department in her home? Her email account could have been hacked by enemies of the US and it is quite possible that she never knew. It often takes corporation months before they know that there emails have been hacked and they have IT departments. Could all of Hillary's emails been read by China or North Korea? As a Secretary of State why would you even want to take that chance?

This is a good point, bad judgment really is the best way to phrase the whole thing.

Another thing to consider is that team Hillary already lied in making their original explanation, which suggests that there's a bit of panic going on in the ranks. They said that they passed the donations through a vetting process and it only came from Algeria, but they didn't actually vet any donations and there's several countries in there.

She is a bit Teflon - or maybe a bit "slippery," but think back to this time 8 years ago. She was way up in the polls and predicted to take the win, then an upstart junior senator and community organizer beat her in the primary. Hillary doesn't play nice and I can't imagine she would be able to control her anger when she's repeatedly questioned about her email - Libyan war - etc. It was among her supporters that the "birther" theory about Obama rose.

And, Obama is not a fan of the Clinton, and vice versa. Chelsea snubbed the Obamas at her wedding and now Obama is quick to distance himself from her and claim that she was TOLD to use the secure email.

What will trip her up is that there have been inquiries and subpoenas concerning all communications centered around Benghazi. Those emails (the ones from Blumenthal) were subject to the court orders and to the FOIA act.

I really think she screwed the pooch this time.

Nice try boss, but you aren't fooling a soul. Your chronology is a tad off; http://www.state.gov/secretary/20092013clinton/ Hillary Clinton was gone in February, 2013. Your article is dated September, 9th, 2013. Like I said before, she was already gone. Keep fishing! Eventually you might pull a sock out of the water.

That would also depend on just how squeamish her big money donors are about getting dragged into scandal.
