    Sadly, people with no direct experience with LEOs (either from wearing a badge to being on the business end of their weapons) think this way.

    There was another group who just blindly obeyed. They were called the Nazis. It seems like a huge majority of rightwingers value this trait and way of thinking.

    I say they did not take appropriate action.

    I also believe that it COULD have been an opportunity for the President to show he is not afraid of the protesters. He possibly could have earned some leeway by holding up the bible as there were probably Christians in the crowd.
