Obama was a great orator but only if he could read what was written for him. Without that he sounded like what he was when asked real questions, an empty suit. I originally thought he was awesome until I heard an unscripted TV interview when he was running for the Senate. He sounded like an idiot.

Obama never learned leadership skills. The only reason he got where he did was with a political machine and a fawning press. Trump used neither and still became President.

It was never a secret that Karl Rove tried to smear Joe Wilson by attacking his wife and revealing her role.

Wilson's letter to the NYT ended any doubt in anyone's mind that the Bush admininstration was actively trying to manufacture a case for starting a war in Iraq based in claims it knew was not true.

Of course, now, we have several examples. But Joe Wilson's letter that day was the one that made the case the most clearly at the time.

Every word of it was true, too. This was a real problem for the Bush administration. Not only could they not attack Joe Wilson, the former US Ambassador to Iraq, a man whom George HW Bush had awarded the Medal of Freedom and a life long Republican, by character assination, but they couldn't attack him on the facts, either. He was telling the truth, and they knew it.

So they had to manufacture a smear. Something to take the public's mind off the contents of that famous letter, and make it about the author's motives.

The right wing noise machine did its level best to promote the distraction, feeding the audience with a steady diet of distractions, distortions and lies.

In the end, the grand jury figured out what had been done, and who did it.

No matter how hard they tried, they could never escape the basic fact that launched their entire smear campaign.

Every word of Wilson's letter in the New York Times was true.

Wilson wrote an article exposing the lie that was Bush's claim about yellowcake uranium being sold to Ira (and it was a lie)

In response the Bush Admin made a concerted effort to out Wilson's CIA operative wife Valerie Plame. Scooter Libby went to jail for lying about how that occurred to the FBI.

Eventually Armitage was exposed as ONE of the *******s who did that.

 

The effort to out her did NOT only use Armitage and no she was not a desk jockey. Thanks for the Bushie talking points though...as unpatriotic as they are

I posted the findings of courts of law. You got it wrong. Richard Armitage gave Novak his information. Despite what the courts did, they announced they found no connections to any other person than Armitage. I know the Democratic party talking points extremely well.

Bush for instance never said Niger. He said Africa. Bush made his comments in good faith it was the truth.
Should we discuss the tons of yellow cake that Saddam Hussein had on hand? Found in Iraq by our forces and later shipped to Canada?

 

Let's say you are talking to one of your family members. You made comments just to that party and no others. And you learn later the comments are now all over your family members talking points. conclusion by you is the only person you spoke to leaked it.

Trump knew what was going on in his locations. For data to escape, it had to be obtained by hacking or direct phone calls.
