There were great upheavals throughout the whole world from around 375CE to 700. The Western Roman Empire fell, the Justinian plagues, the Volkervandewung, et al . Muhammad camie in 610 and many saw him as an answer to those things. He is called the Seal of the Prophets to indicate no more should be expected after him All claptrap of course. One of the greatest speculations of history is how much suffering, war, needless death and human degradation might have been avoided if mankind had sought to actually DO something about the troubles that bedeviled him instead of seeking to propitiate mean sky fairies of their disturbed imaginings. My contention is that we would have been prosperous members of an interstellar civilization for some millenia by this time

They DID do "something" about the "sky fairies." About the turn of the last century (Queen Victoria times) the Western world, and Europe in particular, began doing away with the old monarchs and religious structures. The transformation was remarkable and the world by WWI would have been unrecognizable to Queen Victoria. Stalin studied to be an Orthodox priest. Hitler's mother was Roman Catholic. Mao Tse Tung and Pol Pot came from Buddhist persuasions. These people, and many others like them, changed the world. Now Nationalism; Racism; Communism and Fascism took center stage. Nearly a quarter of a billion people died as a result.
Different gods, not different solutions. We shouldn't worship ANYTHING, not even ourselves. And the world just prior to WWI was becoming, while very far from perfect, a much nicer place than it had been. It was WWI, and it's continuance WWII, that was the Catastrophe. We make much in fiction of "post apocalyptic" times but we have been living in one for just about 100 years now
Did the Noah's Ark story happen? Did two penguins walk thousands of miles to get in a boat built by a 500 year old man? Humans can make a prophecy happen. Where is the evidence of the supernatural involvement in this "second return?" Cyrus II is the guy that made this happen. Where is the evidence of supernatural assistance in the 1948 battle?
IMO the story of the ark was local to Sumer. Back then the world was quite small. In Jesus' day the world was the Roman Empire - a lot bigger. And the earth wasn't a planet - a planet back then was a wandering star. Read the story of the 1948 and 1967 wars. How a tiny group, hardly even a nation, held off seven Arab nations. I knew a man who served in the British occupying forces, long died now - he told me that if he lost his rifle he would have been jailed as the Jews were so desperate to get hold of weapons. No one would support them. Oddly, for one brief moment it was the Soviet Union under Stalin that supported Israel - an offer they soon regretted.
Have you read his books...they are chock full of impossibility (miracles) and inconsistency. I would give you the short list but there are limitation in place by the software.
"Inconsistency" is difficult to define here. "Impossibility" doesn't mean much - in science nothing is impossible, just unlikely. But God operates outside of science. And also, neither you nor me was there when these "impossible" things happened - the world is far stranger than we can imagine.
The Jews were a group which at that time had the world's sympathy and were being galvanized themselves by what had just been done to them. The Arabs were what they had been for a centuries and remain to this day, a people trapped in dreams of their glorious past. Since that time the Jews have become the main catspaw of the world's most powerful nation in an area where that nation's major resource comes from and the Arabs are the mice. I see no need to call upon the supernatural.
Re the supernatural. That a people from the Bronze Age can maintain an ethnic, genetic and religious identity is remarkable (we even argue whether Egyptians were black or white skinned, or who the Philistines were.) That a people can number so many "back then" yet still remain few in number to this day (as the bible said would happen) is also remarkable. That a people can be so universally hated yet remain as a people is also remarkable. That these people can go back to a land ruled by Turkish Muslims and "take it back with the sword" to rebuild their ancient language, currency and religion is remarkable. But I find so many of the 1948 and 1967 events amazing for their deliverance of the Jews, over and beyond military strategy, good luck and probability. Imagine if a group of Iraqis got together and claimed themselves to be heirs of ancient Babylon - and took Babylon from the Iraqis and built a powerful Babylonian kingdom, complete with their ancient language and customs. You would marvel at that. This is what happened to the Jews.
The unbelievers don't want to accept the miracle and fulfillment of prophecy happening right in front of them. They're blinded.

No, the later the revelation from god, the better. God has changed things up many times in human biblical history. So, it is better to go with the latest revelation than the older ones.
