IF he has a high IQ, then he is incredibly lazy.
His Bachelor degree has no honors (no cum laude, magna cum laude or summa cum laude
He does not have a Masters degree.
He has just discovered "Nobody knew health care was 'so complicated'" - when informed, educated people knew that it was.
It also doesn't take a genius to realize leaving Medicare and Social Security alone (as he has promised) plus a massive increase in defense spending plus a tax cut and reduce the deficit doesn't add up.

I believe he is a gifted entertainer, but he is not bright. I have met some very bright people - none of them has started with "I'm very smart, okay."

    Thank you for commenting.....
I do believe that President Donald Trump is going to tackle the problems in USA health care that
will astonish us before the year 2020.

Dr. Ben Carson knows a lot about the problems in health care.....

    http://www.politicalforum.com/health-care/453165-why-would-dr-ben-carson-make-such-claims.html
Why would Dr. Ben Carson make such claims?
I believe that he made these statement because he seriously considered that they were true!

    ... take a look at post # 3 for a shock......
but these are natural substances that cannot be patented... and therefore can
be put on the market at low costs now that we have a President who will put
    Americans ahead of BigPharma!

Which is sure good news for 320 million Americans.....
who need some better people working on what is really wrong here.

In part 2 of the video it was stated that a high level official in the
Obama administration admitted that the Dr. Stanislaw Burzynski treatment for
brain cancer was great...... but it could not be recognized because it might cause
a 2008 type of stock market crash?!

WOW. You are proof of the phrase "hope springs eternal".
Ben Carson needs a sanity hearing - seriously - he is "not wrapped tightly". The pyramids used for grain storage?

Perhaps not for massive amounts of grain.... but there have been
several ancient seeds that were found in the pyramids that
    were sprouted.

    http://www.livescience.com/52291-first-withdrawal-doomsday-seed-vault.html

"'Doomsday' Seed Vault: The Science Behind World's Arctic Storage Cube"

    ........
Getting back and forth from the Arctic was more difficult
back in those days....... so perhaps the theory has some merit?!

I really don't know about that but I do know from what has been
published that Dr. Ben Carson was wise indeed to supplement his
own nutritional treatment for prostate cancer with the substances
recommended by Rayburn Goen M. D.

    http://glyconutrientsarevital.blogspot.ca/2006/08/dr-ben-carson-glyconutrients.html

    .............

Obviously Dr. Ben Carson is an avid reader on the subject of alternative medicine because
only two years after his diagnosis Dr. Carson was aware of what Rayburn Goen M. D. had written.......

    The New Nutrition Paradigm

by Rayburne W Goen, MD, FACP, FACC.
    December 21, 2001

    ..............

I have the funny feeling that Donald Trump has assembled a team that will tackle possibilities like this in spite of the possible risks to the stock market.

If we begin to place a higher value on volunteerism..... making our eighty plus year old population healthier and more energetic.... could have far more of a positive impact on the economy because Dr. Rayburn Goen was active and productive right up until the last few months of his life.

It's not so much a question of his intelligence, it's a question of the appalling lack of intellect he continues to display. "Nobody knew how complicated <health care reform> was", is but the latest outrageously ignorant thing he has uttered. Let's hope he's smart enough to learn on the job and maybe, just maybe finds the merest spark of humility.

You miss the point entirely. Of course there was some food - grains - in the pyramids, but their purpose was as mausoleums, not a grain storage silo as the zany Dr Carson contends. It is not his only bizarre "belief" he has some astounding other beliefs as well - ones not shared by most sane people....I have a theory he was damaged by anesthesia during some operation. Or he was struck by lightning, or had a cerebral stroke,...I seriously don't believe he could pass a sanity hearing.

As long as he keeps on hiring up.....
and appointing people who are sincere and actually want to benefit Americans
much more than just themselves.... then he will be able to accomplish a great deal.

I have to admit that I rather vehemently disagree with his idea on the
    age of the earth.

I regard that one as a pretty serious error that I do hope his research
    will soon change.

Nice sentiment, but he's hired a few real doozies that may mean well but have neither the intelligence, intellect, nor expertise to successfully do the jobs. Perry and DeVos immediately come to mind. As to the billionaires in the room, being rich isn't necessarily the best indicator of one's capacity for altruism.

One think I will say about Trump. I am sure he will accomplish a lot.
OTOH, How much of it is to the benefit of america, and americans both now and into the future remains to be seen.

I am sure that President Trump will be more practical,
more realistic in the policies that he sets in motion than President Obama was.

Kevin O'Leary wrote a letter back on February 3 that well illustrates how
tired people can get of exaggerated idealism and perfectionism, especially
when it hits them hard in the form of greatly increased electricity bills.

Near death experiencer Dannion Brinkley is astonishingly gifted.....
and it was actually Dannion who convinced me to begin to take his campaign
    much more seriously.........

I asked Dannion's permission to initiate a campaign through this forum.....
and his response got me to begin to research Mr. Trump's campaign.

I think Trump's IQ is mediocre, 100 at most. He's shrewd, but in all his books, all his biographers and in all his media exposure he has never ever shown any intellectual insight.
His speech pattern is basic, childlike even, his reading speed is below average for an adult. His decisions are always taken by gut feeling, not by logic.

A man with intellectual capabilities enough to pass IQ130 simply behaves completely different.

Not to say Trump is stupid. He's shrewd and devoid of empathy. He has mastered the various tricks to read people and act accordingly.

It's unfortunate we will never know for sure though. Trump will never do any simple math problems on camera, you will never see him write stuff quickly and precisely on camera, you will never see him engage in intellectual conversation with anybody ever on camera.

But all the signals point towards an IQ between 90-110 tops. To me that is. Opinions differ.

I had read years ago though that President William Clinton was more like IQ 170?

Yes... that is what I had heard or read as well.

I disagree with a lot of what he did but I am still impressed by a statement that
he made when discussing the George W. Bush vs John Kerry campaign. He told
Americans to not hate either candidate........... "they are both good guys, they just have a
    different world view."

If any of you know how to dig up the specific way that President Clinton worded that it would be great!

He might be more intelligent than he appears to be. I would give him the benefit of the doubt. But his problem is not IQ but his lack of knowledge to carry out the job they gave him. Plus, of course, the obvious absence of moral values and honesty.

Trump is unqualified for the job not because of his intellect (Presidents can hire smart people), but because of his emotional immaturity.
Being smart is probably over-rated anyway. Jimmy Carter was smart.

Something that in my opinion he is doing right is
exalting people who place Philosophy and Ethics as an important part of their lives.......

This is going to pay huge dividends for him... and for all Americans who will benefit from this......

His support for the pro-life community can potentially save
American taxpayers a great deal of money treating
    cases of breast cancer.

That sure sounds like an intelligent move to me!

Yes....... I have high expectations even for the next five months.

If Rabbi Judah ben Samuel was correct about 2017 being a Jubilee year.... then
because a Jubilee is proclaimed on Yom Kippur...... it probably began on Yom Kippur 2016 and goes to the
    day before Yom Kippur 2017.......
a lot can happen in five months!

Pollycy.... you impress me as being somebody who can tell me what I
actually scored on my two SAT tests that I took back in 1980 and 1985.....
I just found them a few weeks ago.....

Here is the results of the one from 1980 and I am wondering if the score for TSWE is added
    to the total..... or not?

    Verbal - 570
    Reading - 55
    Vocabulary - 56
    Math - 560
    TSWE - 52

So if TSWE is added to the total... I guess I scored 1293

    1985....
    Verbal - 630
    Reading - 55
    Vocabulary - 70
    Math - 570
    TSWE - 39

So... if TSWE is added... I scored 1364 in 1985.

Hey.... I guess I wasn't three hundred points behind President Trump as I
    had thought in the past!

    Cool!

There really isn't a reliable method for determining another person's IQ, without giving them the test. Hell, even the test is shitty. I had two back to back done on me as a child, and the numbers swayed over 10 points.

I would guess most people in politics are not high IQ persons. Listening to them speak, you can tell most don't even understand the positions they have taken; they just vomit talking points they didn't write. This goes for most media pundits as well. Sometimes I wish I could talk in to their ear, so they could properly have the debate they are failing at. I'm not saying that because I think I am so smart, but because they clearly are so ****ing stupid.

I think that a lot of it is that they don't want to let people know how
simple some really big questions really are when we look into them for a while.

This is my 2006 campaign writing..... I covered quite a bit about economics in two pages.....
