They're really a member of NATO, and really a staging facility for US nuclear missiles. The point being that your "cash strapped" over simplification is ridiculous. Pelosi's House just approved $733bn for the defense budget.

Not ridiculous at all. The national debt is soaring and the money printing machines are working overtime.

Where do you get ^ this ^ stuff? Nobody here is cheering for Merkel or Macron. Turkey is less reliable than the Saudi's and Turkey has always been a reluctant ally at best. Iran and Russia are BFF's provided Iran keeps it's radicals out of Chechnya. Your pals Merkel, Macron finance Vlad & Rouhani's axis of evil.

Stop. The US isn't selling arms to pay down the debt. If that nonsense is your honest assessment debate the JV team, it isn't worth my time.

PI, I only can guide you, not do the hard thinking for you. Trump is not an American ally and neither is his foreign policy in the ME.

Trump's policy is that the US should keep troops out of the ME and empower our allies. It sounds like you're letting Bowe Bergdahl do your thinking for you JS. Have you traded your US flag for a prayer rug recently?

Yet Trump sends troops to the ME.

It sounds like you let Bolton do your thinking for you PI.

    You are very confused, obviously.

If Trump did every thing possible to provoke Iran, we would already be at war with Iran. Why do all the democrats exaggerate away all their credibility?

Why are the Trumpers exaggerating away their remaining credibility?

I have since learned from ABC News that that the video is an overhead image taken by a U.S. Navy P-8 surveillance craft. https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/tan...-us-ruling-iran-responsible/story?id=63685381

This brings up more questions about this very convenient proof that Iran is responsible for the attack. The very presence of that aircraft along with a U.S. CBG in the vicinity indicates strongly we control the seas in this area.

The Iranian boat did not suddenly appear. The U.S. navy is saying Iran is responsible for the attacks and probably the attacks on four other tankers two weeks ago. Why did the U.S. navy allow an Iranian boat to approach the stricken Japanese tanker ostensibly to remove powerful evidence of Iranian involvement?

You can deal with the "if's." I will deal with actual events.

Not even Trump is stupid enough to make the provocation obvious. You don't give him much credit, do you?

Trump is exaggerating, and his supporters are exaggerating.

The Joint Chiefs will not let Trump start a full-fledged war.

How does the US or Trump benefit from a war with Iran?

While at the same time you think the US Navy was complicit in some kind of conspiracy to intimidate Iran into a war. Or am I not understanding what you are trying to say.

"Iran is lashing out because the regime wants our successful maximum pressure campaign lifted," SecState Pompeo said.

Iran hopes to have the pressure lifted by attacking oil tankers??? That does not make sense.

Some might say that IRGC has threatened to close off the Straight of Hormuz. This is called false bravado. It can be compared to the threat made by the President of the United States when he said "fire and fury" would rain down on North Korea if she threatened the U.S.

Pompeo added that the U.S. "will defend its forces, interests and stand with our partners and allies to safeguard global commerce and regional stability."

I didn't say that. You said that. I am allowing readers to draw their own conclusions.

    Is that your conclusion?

You are the one who is doubting that a Navy patrol aircraft observed the Iranians. That certainly appears to be your conclusion.

Just a bit of warning. When the democrats start intimidating that the US Navy is conspiring with Trump to start a war, they are going to get a lot more push back from the US public than they can handle.

Show me exactly where I wrote that. Oh, you don't understand, yes.

So keep asking questions and you will get straightened out.

If Trump is responsible, then it would be impossible to pull off without the US Navy's help. Unless of course, you think Trump has the capability to do it by himself.
