Is the press bullying the President?

I didn't even vote for the President, yet I am feeling sympathy for him lately (not "feeling sorry for him") because he has become the ugly, fat, new kid in class from out of town that no one wants to welcome. Psychologially, that can't be easy to bear. He's human, after all.

To point out that "well, he really
IS fat and ugly" as is repeated here so often, just makes my point.

Yes, he makes mistakes. So do I. He'll make more and deserves criticism. But the ridicule heaped on him so regularly and so virulently by the pundits makes me instinctively want to take his side. He's outnumbered and can't really fight back.

 

The left has pulled out all the stops-but it isn't working (and all they have).

Yes really, and I specifically said I did not feel sorry for him because I knew some Trump hater would confuse sympathy, which I have, with pity, which I do not. And look who it is!

No, it's actually worse, Trump is trying to bully the press, in the most despicable manner possible, and it won't work, LOL. The press is doing exactly what we need them to be doing....their jobs.

 

To the extent the press reports facts based on reliable sources, I appreciate their enthusiasm and their role in a civil society. To the extent they offer opinions consonant with those of Margot above, fanning the flames of hatred and division, and defame him with unnamed and unreliable sources, I despise them.

 

Yes he is getting some 'bullying' but I watched his primary campaign . I watched how he treated his opponents, their family members, the press. I paid attention to whether he took the high road, the low road or parked his car and waited. He always stooped low. Every single time.


I paid attention to his past conduct as a businessman. Donald Trump is himself a bully who is used to getting what he wants out of people by lying, cheating and then bullying them using his wealth and his lawyers.

this man is getting the treatment he spent his lifetime giving whenever someone stood between him and what he wanted.

I congratulate the press. He is finally getting what he dished out for decades.

It's obvious that Trump, and his disciples for that matter, are delicate snowflakes. The Obamas didn't wither under the constant onslaught of the right-wing media during his presidency. Why is Trump on the edge of breaking a mere 126 days into his presidency? Because he's a vile, petty, simple-minded, self-serving lout who covers low self-esteem by pretending that he's not what he is.

 

Bullying by the White House press corps is going to be more entertaining. I'm seeing reports that laura Ingraham has passed DOJ investigation, looks like new press secretary, and Spicer is moving to strategic comm. Color me happy.

It's obvious the radical left, Skulls and Bones, media, Obama, Hillary, cry baby super stars, gay people and liberals do not want to lose power. This is why they attack him to the extent they have which is probably more than any other president we have had including Bill who was impeached. They will not leave Trump alone and media like CNN has more than 90% of what it airs as negative against Trump. The left will do anything to get power back and keep it. The Republican party has had it's problems in the past with Bush etc but they got it right with Trump who is not a puppet of anyone. Trump is the first person we have had in decades not controlled by a secret organization or any one party. He is also the first person in decades to even care about the devastated economic areas in the swing states. The left does not want Trump to succeed so they can take back power in 2020. They are scared and Trump's twitter rants and comments only add fuel to the fire. The left hates him with a passion and have gone overkill on the attacks against him.

It is pretty bad. Obama was a far worse president and conservatives may have been to nice and fair towards him. I know I was. I gave him a chance. They never gave Trump a chance. The left is full of hate so don't expect the same treatment. Most unfair people ever.

He's too incompetent and he's too impulsive. he won't get out of his own way long enough to build any momentum and he makes too many political enemies every time he tweets or speaks, even among the GOP.

 

I will remember how you have treated our Republican president the next time you guys elect someone as bad as Obama. You liberals are only setting yourselfs up for the same fire you are putting Trump under.
