There are racists everywhere... even in the USA. Most people are pretty cool... especially if you are cool/respectful first.
Not really. People are what they are though. Race and looks are both skin deep, but people read a lot into both.
I disagree. First of all, "race" is just a politically correct way of saying "species." Both that and looks are DNA deep. As to the quite at the bottom of your post, I have hardly ever seen anything so wrong. The TRUTH is that most people hide from the truth like experts. Which in a way, I guess they are. As for most forums I have ran across, they do an excellent job at shielding their sheeple from the truth.
Breed is a more accurate synonym. One characteristic of species is that individuals within the group can all create reproductively viable offspring with each other. Which means we're all the same species regardless of race. Species might create mules(a cross-product unable to bear offspring) by breeding outside their species, but most often would not create offspring at all. You can have sex with sheep all you want but it won't create a human/sheep mix. Breeds on the other hand can create viable offspring with other breeds. All my dogs are mutts and half-breeds and I still have to get them fixed. The gene angle is just attacking a straw man. No one has exactly the same genes as anyone else except clones and identical twins (natural clones). Its just that the degree of difference is relatively small in humans compared to other species. Humans are not the smallest gene pool, but we're close to it, we're a relatively new species. Of course racial differences are genetic, the differences on a genetic level are just so small that using it as a basis to judge each other is misguided. Imagination may take the place of truth for some people, but only in their minds. The truth is always right there.
Race is not species. Race is closer to subspecies. Biologically, a species is all creatures who can interbreed in nature to form fertile offspring. All groups of humans on earth are the same species. We clearly all interbreed to form fertile offspring. Sub-species are just groups within a species that have slightly different looks or geography. Go back to Stormfront with that garbage, please.
When I was in Ukraine I noticed that anytime America is shown on the news we were shown to be a dangerous and racist place. Not because the media was trying to disparage America but because what makes news is violence and protests. See all the shootings in Chicago! See all the riots in Portland! See all the protests in Los Angeles! See the evil KKK members marching about! See the cops shooting people! See all the homeless in the streets! See the two white guys picking on the poor Mexican mom and her children! See the evil and racism that is America! The media will not mention that America is 3000 miles horizontally across and 2000 miles vertically. 50 states filled with 325 MILLION people. 325 million people living in peace; no protests, no riots, low crime, little racism, very tolerant. Just 325 million people getting up and going to work and school each day. 325 million people that have no desire to hurt others. The news will most often show the worst of America and any other country because the story of a woman going to work, putting money in the Salvation Army donation bucket, playing with her kids, walking the dog and saying hi to the neighbor of a different race, this story is not interesting, is not news, but this story is America.
Is the USA racist ? How many other countries have racist hate groups like the National Council of La Raza, Black Panthers, SPLC, Black Lives Matters, MEChA, Think Progress, Democrat National Committee, The Nation of Islam, A*N*S*W*E*R* Coalition, Avenues Street Gang, MALDEF,... ?
As with any place, we are a nation of people. And some people think that they're more equal than others. We are not racist by rule, but do have a lot of institutionalized racism in the land. OTOH not every American is a Republican.
