Is this analysis of the probable long term effects of climate change logical?

    Could you please source your claims? Or is that too much as usual? I cannot confirm the claim you made here;

I gave you a link that showed CO2 emissions went up after the Kyoto Protocol which the US never actually ratified. Our esteemed Alien said the same... So... Where is your data? Or is your opinion based on nothing as usual?

From your own link that you provided. I don't make things up. The data I use to back up my statements is available for those with initiative and curiosity to investigate. I'm suggesting that you educate yourself. And that is not what BA provided in his post.

Amazing how you and Hoosier never seem to provide any actual data. I gave you a link you never disputed. So did the Alien.
You have provided your opinion on the issue debated but as usual you have nothing to back it up.

You really think that you still have the grounds to do this? After all this time you still think you can just claim whatever you want?

Sure thing AFM... Sure... Whatever... People can read these threads and see exactly what I see.

What I claim is the truth. I completely disputed your conclusions based on the content of your link. And BA also confirmed that. The fact that the US met the Kyoto Protocol targets is common knowledge to those who do their homework.

LOL, two things happen. First a statement is made that you can never apparently counter. Second, once evidence is presented you ignore it.

I have no idea why you are addressing this random comment at me. My citation makes no such claim.

My citation does however directly refute your assertion that, "The US is the only country to actually meet the Kyoto targets even though we did not sign it."

Are you claiming that the US used international carbon credits to meet the Kyoto target ?? And the Kyoto targets were pegged to 2008 - 2012.

I have no idea what the heck you are talking about. Please highlight the text from my post which you believe makes this claim. Here it is again for your benefit ...

All countries except Canada (which withdrew from Kyoto) and the USA (which never ratified Kyoto) will meet their first Kyoto targets. They will do this through a mix of domestic reductions and the purchase of international carbon credits. Note that in this context, Australia is yet to meet an emissions reduction target because its first Kyoto target allowed it to increase emissions.

CountriesÂ’ progress towards their 2020 targets is more mixed. Countries generally claim they will meet their 2020 targets. A country is only given a YES in the table below if this has been verified by independent assessments in country, or by international groups such as the UN Environment Programme, PBL in the Netherlands or Climate Action Tracker. - Climate Institute 2015 factsheet

This directly and totally refutes your statement that ...

I agree the U.S. should have begun action long ago...but we did not and considering half the electorate believes climate change to be a hoax the future also looks very grim...thus my pessimism. Also consider the fact that even though you are correct in that much of Europe has attempted said actions it means very little in the grand scheme of things. Unless Asia and North America make sincere and severe efforts (which does not seem in any way likely), there is literally no hope of making a difference.

Here is how 'unusual' current warming is.

I still have hope. Of course... If Trump wins it's over.

Still... Not doing anything seems like giving up. No reason to give up yet.

    Hello bot.
You still haven't learned to source your claims? Given your history I don't trust anything you post.

Don't worry if Trump wins, you will still have weather. The globalist schemes maybe short-circuited but that could actually be good for you.

So basically you don't believe there is data from the Law Dome or Hadcrut3. All the information is there for you to read, if you ever took the time to actually do that. Do you think the data are all lies?

Mr. Bot... If Trump wins global warming will be the least of our worries.
We will need quick action to safeguard global stability with the Chinese while Trump prepares his Ribbentrop-Molotov agreement with Putin.

And that data was for years after the Kyoto agreement ended. It was extended because no signing countries met their commitments.

And as usual you have nothing to back up your claims except your word. But your word is worthless since you have been caught lying, making (*)(*)(*)(*) up and so on.

The Alien and myself have already linked some data for you. Do try to inform yourself. I mean... This isn't even funny after the 1000 times you have been told the exact same thing. Are you capable of learning?

Have you seen this (from Ross McKitrick) which shows the bias introduced from the loss of weather stations ~ 1990?

It's interesting that the Roman warm period, dark age cooling, Medieval Warm Period, Little Ice Age, and the first half of the current warm period all took place at the same CO2 concentration and yet the alarmists firmly believe that CO2 drives global warming.

Again the information is out there for those with initiative and curiosity.

Do you seriously think that a well financed Alternative Wall Theory would do
almost nothing toward stabilization of the climate?

Your humorous comments on this so far were fantastic........
but over here....... I would love to get your more serious take on all this......
because you Americans made it to the moon....... so what could possibly stop you from accomplishing something like this.......

    Please notice Merwen's reply.......

Though the idea has interesting merit, it has NO chance of making significant impact let alone being taken seriously and gaining enough support to be enacted. The financial and physical resources required could be spent on far more useful and potent actions.

I have not and will not "Give Up" but as stated I am a realist and forced to accept the unfortunate reality.....Fortunately I will be long dead before my children have to deal with the beginnings of severe impact.

Interesting that the temperature measurement data and observations on the global temperature trace for the last 2000 years is ignored but if lizard people float your boat then go for it. Meanwhile I'll focus on the reality of the global temperature data.

I see that your debunking skills remain at zero. You are the quintessential denier.
But we all knew that already.

The information about lizard people is out there.

    Let me use your words as they are perfectly usable in any context;
