Is Trump a Christian? Are you a Christian, and if so what is your view of Trump? How do Christians reconcile Trump's ad hominem attacks and lies with the teachings of Christ? Is Trump an embarrassment to Christianity, a positive representative of the religion, an amalgam of both or something else entirely?
Even in relative silence there is a lesson to learn. I do not blame Christians for not wanting to comment on this as Trump is theistically toxic and I could not imagine that many Christians want to tie Trump to being a good servant of Christ.
Trump is very "anti" the principles of Jesus. It is hard to say what exactly his personal beliefs are other than the higher power he believes in is himself. Trump is an elitist and eugenics adherent = believes he is in the position he is in due to genetic superiority (not because he inherited a bunch of money) and the "lower classes" are where they are because of genetic inferiority. To help out the poor would be to mess with the "natural order"/survival of the fittest.
I don't believe he ever claimed to be a representative and he's certainly no saint. Are you saying that to be a Christian one must follow every word in the Bible to the letter? I don't know any who could claim they do. He's not a representative of Christianity except to say he's no worse than any other Christian, atheist or anyone else. He has faults same as you and everyone else. Did you vote vote crooked Hillary?
Is he a Christian? If yes then he is a representative of the religion whether he likes it or not. Non Christians judge Christianity by the actions of its practitioners. No. Do you see all humanity as being one dimensional ergo Hitler is no worse than the Pope? If not then care to clarify the above argument? No.
My own hunch is that Trump is a Believer that has not yet been transformed into the image of Christ. None of us have and if we think we have, we are deceived. I say this because I see his basic principles are driving the godless mad! The demons rage! I'm sure they will rage at this post and I accept that is to be expected. People that think they are without sin generally feel they don't need Salvation or a Savior. They are just here to judge others in order they might elevate their own standings. That is why they rage against President Trump, a man with clay feet like all the rest of us.
I put more trust in Trump than 90% of most politicians. Yes, I am a Believer, but I am imperfect. I have been forgiven much. I suspect the same could be true for Donald Trump. We are all at different stages in our walk. I do know about King David and a lot of the imperfect things he did. David was a man after God's own heart. Good did come out of Davids reign. I see good things coming through this administration in spite of the raging left and their puppet news media. A lot of left leaning Americans espouse the idea you must be a "socialist" to be a Christian. I see that couldn't be further from the truth.
I don't know about Trump but Hillary said she was a methodist christian. I still remember her standing on stage with Jay Z while he fingered the camera and said "I give my finger to God". How can you be a christian and be ok with someone dissing your God? She was to worried about votes to care. She also said it was ok to kill a baby less than 10 days before it was born. That comment did not sit well with christians and the fact she smeared women her husband raped. Trump is not perfect and his comments about women scare me so I'm not sure about him. I still voted for him. I thought it was the right thing to do. I am a christian. My parents are very serious christians and they felt they needed to vote against Hillary too. Hillary scared a lot of people.
Is Trump a Christian? He's anything he says he is. Why not a Christian? "Christian" can mean anything that particular Christian wants it to mean...whichever way the wind blows....seems no matter what a self avowed "Christian" does it's defended by christians

I really don't know for sure what Trump believes, when he quotes the Bible I always cringe a little. lol what exactly are his good fruits... humbleness, helping the poor?

Trump is NOTHING! Not a Christian, not an atheist, not a Muslim! He is just TRUMP. . .an narcissistic, arrogant individual who will turn his coat and sell his soul to anyone who will flatter him and give him money! He is one of the most despicable person this earth has seen!
The ONLY people Trump is protecting the economy for are the VERY wealthy. . .and his own family! He is KILLING the middle class and the poor! He is KILLING jobs. He doesn't care about the unborn, anymore than he cares about life children! He only PRETENDS to care about the "unborn" because this is his meal ticket to the Christian Talibans. . .the extremists evangelicals. Our "borders" have NEVER been under threat! No one has ever tried to invade the US. . .only to come and WORK for minimum wage (or lower!) in the worse jobs possible. . .those that Americans do not want to do. . .those who mean being sprayed by chemicals in strawberry fields! Excessive regulations does not exist! The LACK of regulations is what brought us to the edge of collapse in 2008! Trump has no use for "existing laws," unless they serve his and his wealthy friends' purpose! He would gladly get rid of the Constitution if it met that those who criticise him would be silenced! He is the worst "excuse for president" we ever had!
Ergo those who believe in God are not driven mad by what he says yet the godless are? If yes this seems to be a convenient and self serving narrative to me. Who are the godless ones if other than the ones that you disagree with? How do you reconcile the above bolded argument with the Christians who disprove of Trump? One can judge another without believing them self to be without sin.
Do you see Trump's many ad hominem attacks towards others as walking in the path of Jesus? If so can you quote scripture where Jesus leveled ad hominem attacks at others?
Several years ago I read an article by a gifted man from Uganda who seems to have had a near death experience during a bout with malaria. Mr. Eporu Ronald Alfred asserted that a "Christian political Cyrus" was being raised up by G-d. In a sense..... .the Cyrus..... doesn't really know G-d.... according to Isaiah 45:4.5... .and yet is led by the right hand..... according to Isaiah 45:1.........
