    After the Singapore Summit is this going to lead to denuking NK and Trump getting the peace prize next year?

    I voted yes of course.

    I voted no.

    The Nobel Peace Prize has been cheapened by the exposure of it's political agenda driven nature.

    The President does not fit their requirements, so I can't see the committee casting aside their bias to recognize what the President has been able to achieve so far.

    No, anyway, the nobel peace prize lost most of his value since he was given to Obama, the scourge of Syria, father of the bomber drones.

    When they gave it to Obama, it was Doctor Mukwege who deserved it, a congolese doctor who is repairing the vagina of women raped by mility in the republic democracy of congo. He healed thousand of women, risked its life, but they prefered to give it to a politician because he was half black in the USA.

    North Korea will NEVER agree to American inspectrors verifying that they are removing their nuclear weapons and nuclear weapon capabilities.

    and therefore the peace talks will fail

    If this dialog that was started yesterday leads to the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula in the coming months or years, I think Trump and Kim will win the Nobel Peace prize. That is however, a really big If considering the past record of the North Korean government. However, the present leader is only 34 years old and loves our culture, the sports, the booze, the broads and especially our movie and entertainment industries. Maybe after a trip to Hollywood, New York City, The White House and Mira Lago he will get a decent haircut, buy some new duds and become our best friend.

    I hope if he gets it he sells it on ebay for cash lol, I assume there's a certificate or something. If it's certificate I'd wipe my arse on it then give it Hillary.
    We shall see, Trump isn't Clinton, Bush or Obama.

    There is the very real possibility of pressure from China coming on North Korea to make this work. AboveAlpha gave an
    intriguing explanation as to why China might tend to cooperate much more with America at this time.


    Is AA correct about his analysis of USA relations with China?

    They won't want to but they won't have a choice, it would make them look even more partisan then they actually are.

    Trump brings peace to Korea and they pass him up for some scientist that develops a new algorithm for a computer program?

    I don't think so.

    Neither was obama fit. And indeed, compared to obama, trump deserves it. In comparison.

    But that obama was given that prize, this destroys the relevance of that prize. It is meaningless now.

    Las Vegas bookmakers have drastically increased the odds of Trump getting the Nobel. Maybe I'm wrong, those folks have skin in the game, not just opinions.

    North Korea has broken Nuclear Deals in the past and have good reason to keep their nukes given their precarious situation and the past Libya disarmed and then the US later helped rebels overthrow their government.

    I voted no because the "agreement" he signed is almost word for word like the agreement with George W Bush in 2005.Every President back to Kennedy has inherited this problem, and negotiations have always resulted in exactly nothing. If Trump has fooled himself into thinking he will do any better, he is alone in that fantasy. The Nobel people are not delusional.
