Party labels aside.... though I don't always agree with her, I would say Tulsi is definitely an America 1st citizen.

Though she herself claims to be Hindu, she did last night recognize the left loves to bash Christians. Bet that is a splinter in the side of Progressives!

There is no evidence that the 'left loves to bash Christians', you are implying all Christians. I eman, c'mon yabberrefugee, are you saying the left bashes all Christians?

How about the left who bash those Christians who believe Trump is the second coming of Jesus or some kind of Gift from God and he's 'doing the Lord's work? Would you accept that is a legit bash?

How about the left that who bash those Christians who do not believe the Constitution separates Church and State? Would you accept that as a legitimate bash?

her policy positions put her on the solid left of center.

I can post images of American neoNazis all day long, and your point is? Many Euro countries have a bunch of these morons, and, so?

My comment stands, your argument is baseless, and these individuals' do not hold sway with Zelensky's Ukraine.

Like I said, you're out of date. Post Zelensky, no way these guys have any traction in the Ukraine other than just being ad hoc groups, like they are in many Euro countries, not to mention the US.. And, like I said, I can post photos of American NeoNazis all day long, and your point is meaningless.

And here it is, a phone call of a Russian Soldier calling his mom, this is one phone call among 4000 we have recovered from Ukraine intelligence
    which PROVES YOU ARE WRONG

Listen to what he says to his mom, about 'nazis'.

I don't care what label is hung on Tulsi. She has some stands that I agree with and some I don't. But she does seem to let you know where she stands, unlike most politicians who constantly change depending on the wind. It's easy to see why she left the democrats, just as I did years ago.

Wrote Gabbard in for president in 2020, and as long as she doesn't adopt Republican policies now that she left the Democrats(which there's no indication that she would, just mentioning it as a possibility), I'll write her in again in 2024 if there's no decent candidate(and all signs point to that being the case).

Well that depends, do you support her votes on any of those issues?
Or is the main appeal her attempts to validate "white oppresion", and buying into the putin propiganda?

IMO she drops the false white oppression narrative, and starts realizing putin isn't just going to contain him self to just over there problems, then she may stand a chance. Cause right now, I don't see how either side of the coin can fully support her.

Independents still have strong feelings about putin, and abortion. She abandons the pro putin narrative, she's a lefty through an through.

She's got along way to gain any support from the Trump cult. Validating white oppression is a start, but it's gonna take alot more hypocrisy to sway that crowd. Like become anti choice, yet support support stand your ground, and she will have to do a complete 180 on firearm issues.

Her views on the border issue is about right for Independents, and she is very pro UHC. Which will futhur galvanize her from a majority on the right.

Tulsi Gabbard is exactly who she says she is - not a Democrat anymore, due to the reasons she mentioned, such as abusing their power to weaponize the government to round up their enemies and take democracy away.

Well Madonna is a Christian right?.....in some Americans world! I'm talking about humble Bible believing Christians. You know, the ones where this administration shut down their meetings while the bars remained opened! Christians who were instrumental in writing the Constitution knew that it meant there would be no Official State religion as in the Church of England. Sorry to burst your revision. Now serious, can you give me the names of Christians that really regard Trump as their Christ? No you can't. Tulsi, a Hindu even recognizes this left wing government has persecuted Christians.

When you refer to a factual event, please source it, so I can review what you are describing and come to my own conclusions.

A number of the framers of the Constitution were deists, not christians, specifically, though many were Protestants.

    However, these fellas were deists.

Washington, Jefferson, Franklin, Madison and Monroe

    https://www.britannica.com/topic/The-Founding-Fathers-Deism-and-Christianity-1272214
Although orthodox Christians participated at every stage of the new republic, Deism influenced a majority of the Founders.

And while my rhetoric might not be precise, this fits the gist of my meaning:

    https://bigthink.com/the-present/was-trump-anointed-by-god/

Half of evangelicals believe Trump is anointed by God
A recent survey also found that political messaging from the pulpit increased the likelihood of believing presidents to be ordained by God.

When you say Protestants, they are Christians but I'll give you one source with a whole lot of references you can't dispel that George Washington was a Christian.
"George Washington's Sacred Fire" by Peter Lillback
There is no denying John Adams was Christian. Though Thomas Jefferson claimed to be "Deist" he became close after much dissention with John Adams. They died on the same July 4th. Many believe Jefferson took a turn.
Princeton, Harvard, and Yale.....all centers of Bible based learning originally. Now they are schools of godlessness. How many of the signers of the Constitution were Bible Scholars? Look it up! You'd be surprised! Seems like Tulsi knows a little more history than you and she is a Hindu so I take her opinion as objective!

Your graph means nothing. It is apparent denominational worship is on the decline. Are you aware of the Churches that lay no claim to denominations or Protestantism? Do you have any idea of the home groups that meet? It's called "the Body of Christ".

Most Christians understand the shortcomings of Trump after all, every one of us has shortcomings. Only the godless see themselves as perfection. He would never be my Pastor but he can be my President. His policies are far more in line with God's Word than that of the Biden Crime Family! Do you enjoy the Paradise we have obtained in the last 2 years?

I think Gabbard is a traditional Democrat that didn't get woke and can see what happened to the party.

You know what I say? God has nothing to do with government and governance, nor was it ever meant to be.

The US dollar didn't say 'In God We Trust" until 1957. Christianity nor Christ is not mentioned in any of the nation's founding documents.

The world of the late 17th Century is not the world of today. Today we are comprised of many religions, and about 9% do not believe in God.

The important point is, even if the founders were mostly Christians, it's clear that in the first Amendment they didn't want the Government to be approving of one religion over another nor being the sponsor of any religion. This was one of their greatest points of wisdom.

The importance of the first amendment allows future centuries, whose demographics will logically evolve and change, the American society to accommodate all religions, or none at all. Religion is a private affair, not an aspect of governance.

Therefore, the significance of your point, whether I agree with you are not, is really moot, in the scheme of governance and framer intent.

I share her sentiment, but I also know, and apparently she has yet to realize, that if she seeks higher office, she won't be able to achieve without the benefit of the apparatus of one of the two major party's machinery/apparatus.

It' precisely why, when Bernie Sanders cast his hat into the presidential race, he ran as a Democrat, not as an independent.

Therefore, if she seeks higher office, (unless a repub prez candidate takes her as a VP, which isn't likely, given her policy positions) she will have to run as a dem and eat a big slice of humble pie.

No, she was always her own person with her own views which makes her independent, and I respect that. Party loyalists or populists do not get my respect.

As did Bernie Sanders, but, when he decide to run for president, 'suddenly' he was a democrat.

Now why do you think he did that?

    Simple.

Because, without the benefit of the party's vast machinery in all the states, databases, mailing lists, etc., there is no way in hell any independent can win a high office.......UNLESS

He or she is, as an independent, is selected for VP on a republican or democratic ticket. (The last independent as VP on a prez ticket that I can recall was Joe Leiberman).

I think we need, for the sake of preserving our republic, a viable third party.

I hope she agrees and runs and challenges the status quo.

The Authoritarian Left uses the label "Liberal" but they are the opposite of Liberal.

    Tulsi is an actual Liberal.

    Conservatives conserve Constitutional Liberal Democracy.

It's not surprise to anyone who understands this that Conservatives get along very well with honest Liberals and have no problem with tolerating their many policy disagreements.

What we are all very tired of, and unite behind, is pushing back against the illegitimate bossiness of the Illiberal Totalitarians that are a pain in the ass of all Free People.

Judging by the way the election is shaking up, there are a large number of what you term "closet Republicans." They aren't actually they are simply honest Liberals with no desire to illegitimately control others.

PUSHBACK: Free Speech Concerns Prompt Calls To Shun Yale Law Grads.

Even the judges are fed up with them:

Give these totalitarians the old HEAVE HO!

'Judge James Ho, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, urged the boycott last month. He argued that Yale Law students haven’t faced consequences for shutting down a speaker last year, meaning “Yale not only tolerates the cancellation of views—it practices it.” Now other judges are slowly signing on to Ho’s boycott.'

Don't hire the little small minded totalitarians.

We aren't in a private chat, we are in a public debate. I addressed your point and then moved the discussion forward. It's perfectly fitting and proper for me to do so.

A lot of authoritarians find a lot ways to claim that views they don't agree with are not to be shared. No matter what they claim they are, be assured that such are NOT Liberals. They are the opposite of Liberals.

Tulsi is not a Republican, she is an actual Liberal.
And since Conservatives conserve Constitutional American Liberalism, she sees eye to eye on a number of issues, yet, disagrees with a number of others. We welcome actual diversity of opinion, so we have no problem with her holding and voicing her views whether we like them or not. Weird that you find that puzzling. It's fundamental to a our pluralistic democracy.

She's an actual Liberal rather than a Left Wing Totalitarian

DEMOCRATS STILL PARTYING LIKE IT’S 1859: CPAC 2023: Tulsi Gabbard accuses Democrats of becoming ‘racists they claim to hate.’

'“The White House [lists] off proudly all of these statistics and quote-unquote diversity in the Biden administration by talking about gender and race and sexuality but not talking about capabilities and accomplishments,” Gabbard said. “They’re directly betraying Dr. Martin Luther King's dream … judging us purely based on the color of our skin rather than on the content of our character. They become the racist that they claim to hate.”'

'Gabbard criticized Democrats on a number of other policy issues during her address, such as gender, education, and abortion — painting the Left as stripping the rights of Americans as part of their “blind pursuit of power.”'

    IT'S ABOUT FREEDOM AND LIBERTY

'“No matter what our differences may be, as people who cherish peace, security, and freedom, we have no time to waste,” Gabbard said. “Our country is calling on us.”'

I've been listing to Gabbard's podcast, and the main observation I've drawn with that, as regards to how her beliefs separated from the current woke Democrats, is that she's actually fairly religious.
