Because I am convinced that the rebuilding of the Jerusalem Third Temple
is critical to the earth becoming utopian..... as shown to near death experiencer Howard Storm Ph. D. .. I am a firm supporter of the rebuilding of the Jerusalem Third Temple by Orthodox Jews and Levites and for.... Levites and Orthodox Jews.

One of the best arguments that I have ran into as to why
Christians should support the Orthodox Jewish community
in their desire to rebuild their Jerusalem Third Temple is
a statement by Rabbi Yeshua - Jesus:

    Luke 24:25

"Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken:"

So... all that the prophets have spoken would include Ezekiel chapters 40 - 48 that
clearly describe the restored Jerusalem Third Temple as part of the Era of Messiah / Moshiach.... .the millennial rule of Messiah over all the earth.

    Also:
    Luke 13:35

"Behold, your house is left unto you desolate: and verily I say unto you, Ye shall not see me, until the time come when ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord."

    Was Ezekiel blessed?

Did Ezekiel come in the name of the Lord?

Is Christianity relatively desolate due to our having forgotten the words of the Prophets?

A bit issue for Zion is that the Jews appear to be the only race I know of
that have no right to worship in their own holy place. The 'wailing wall' is
essentially just the bottom of the temple mount. That must insult a lot of
    Jews.

Actually its the remaining wall of the Fortress Antonia.. Jews didn't worship there until about 1500.

Thanks for that. I thought it was the bottom of Herod's temple.

Herod built the Fortress Antonia to honor the daughter of his friend Marc Anthony... It housed Roman soldiers.

Gets complicated - the Temple was MEANT to be a purely Old Testament structure.
Jesus called Himself the Temple. Also, He said those who follow Him are temples also.
And Revelation is a New Testament book.
Having said that - the old Jewish temple has been symbolism both to the Jews and the
    bible itself.

That is a good point BUT.......

    Revelations 21:22

And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it."

Revelations 21 seems to be talking about the FOURTH Jerusalem Temple......
which will descend down from heaven to Jerusalem.........
which I believe comes down eight to ten centuries after the Ezekiel chapters 40 - 48 temple is
    built and is operational.

The Ezekiel chapter 40 - 48 Jerusalem Temple may be the Jerusalem Third Temple but......
there is a possibility of their soon being two temples in Jerusalem...... one centred on the Gihon Spring on the Temple Mount area..... and the central area of the Ezekiel 40 temple could be in a national park well outside of Jerusalem........
if one of our fellow posters is correct:

Could there be two Jerusalem Third Temples?

The third temple was already destroyed by fire and earthquake.. Revelation 21 is clear there is NO Temple and that was written long after Ezekiel..

Why are you pushing false teachings?

Revelation 21 speaks of a time when even the Ancient of Days the Father will be on the earth.........
the Ezekiel chapter 40 - 48 temple complex and all that the Orthodox Jews and Levites do in that temple help prepare the people of the world for the time when our Creator will actually be on the earth with us.

Once G-d is with humans.... then...... some time after the year 3030.... there will no longer be any need for a temple.

    Rev 21:1

And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

This is a description by a near death experiencer:

A man from Uganda who I think had a near death experience or something like it during a bout with malaria has written an astonishingly insightful article on the fulfillment of Isaiah chapte 45 in our near future. (Or could this be happening right now)!

Just from pure logic...... if we are indeed facing a one hundred trillion dollar meltdown in the world's Derivatives market.... we might want to consider some out of the box solutions.... .such as an Ezekiel Temple and / or a Temple Mount Third Temple?

It's fairly clear that there was no temple, of any sort. We read that David wanted a temple.
It wasn't a part of the laws of Moses. Just like the Jewish monarchy God gave the people
their temple. And Jesus honored this - but he cautioned that God doesn't dwell in temples
made with hands and that he himself was a temple. This was abundantly clear in the New
    Testament - no Christian temple.
Paul spoke of giving up this temple (as in dying) and he said "Do you not know that your bodies
are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God?"
Hebrews and Romans speaks about the end of symbolic worship and the end of the altar and
    the temple.

I have a problem with your idea........

you seem to be contradicting Rabbi Yeshua - Jesus who sure seems to be backing up Ezekiel here:

Luk 24:25 "Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken:"

Surely that idea includes Ezekiel chapters forty to forty eight , especially chapter 47 that is very encouraging indeed.

Yes.... and it seems to me that the answer to this one should be pretty obvious. Of course Jews should be allowed to blow the shofar on a Holy Day.
