If your endpoint is the end of the civil war, tell me, when was that going to happen to your satisfaction?

Remember when we played a major role in starting the civil war (I mean spreading democracy)? Never-ending circles, circles... away we go. The soldiers must march on; it's all for that pipeline, I mean defeating ISIS, I mean defeating Russia, actually it's too dethrone Assad... This is one weird game of Diplomacy.

NPR talks about Watergate every day. Nothing wrong with talking about Vietnam.

What kind of nonsense is this? Syria is being attacked by ISIS because Assad is secularist and if not for the US being there, Syria would have wiped them out already. Those who actually armed the terrorist were Obama and McCain.

Yeah, getting us out of infinity wars shows that he's not the hawk our typical presidents have been for several decades.

Yeah our whole 2000 troops was really putting the pressure on them. Now that Trump has stopped the Obama/Hillary flow of arms to them they aren't going anywhere. Russia and Syria will push from one direction, the Kurds from another and the 5000 troops we have in Iraq will put them in a vise they can't get out from.

All of the above shows how messed up neo-conservatist policy and actions.

    Thank you GWB and Trump.

You forgot Obama and McCain. They (McCain) were the ones that did go into Syria, met with these "rebels" and approved (Obama) arming them with US hardware.

It was Bush who armed the rebels. Bush is the Founder of ISIS.

You keep saying that, quoting a conservative btw, but how do you think Assad and Putin will treat ISIS in Syria when the US leaves?

LOL, ok. So you think ISIS is only able to be eradicated by the US? We will see what happens when Assad and Putin have their handcuffs taken off.

Kinda makes you wonder how members of the party he slaughtered in 2016 could figure out the intricacies of breathing.

President Bonespur is trying to modify the impulsive idiocy.

Sen. Graham: Trump Slowing Down Troop Pullout from Syria

    https://www.military.com/daily-news...m-trump-slowing-down-troop-pullout-syria.html

WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump has ordered a slowdown to the withdrawal of U.S. forces in Syria, Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham said Sunday.

"I think we're in a pause situation," the South Carolina Republican said outside the White House after lunch with the president.

Lindsey Graham’s description of Trump’s Syria withdrawal plan sounds suspiciously like a plan to stay in Syria

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/worl...-like-plan-stay-syria/?utm_term=.0280b2f852db

"Well, there is one big but rather confusing reason. In Graham’s retelling, Trump’s plan to leave Syria sounds suspiciously like a plan to stay in Syria — one that could be extended indefinitely, too. Speaking to reporters on Sunday, Graham described Trump’s Syria plan as a “pause situation” rather than a withdrawal."

It will be no more violent or hideous than it is now, unless they use gas indiscriminately, and ISIS will still survive and grow.

Repubs fail to understand the area ISIS controls is less important than the ideology they spread.
