So you don't know anything about this.
Don't you think you should learn something about a subject you wish to argue about.

I posted numerous examples of Jesus stressing works as a requirement in the Sermon on the Mount. In fact he states directly that only those that do the will of the Father make it through the pearly gates.

Works are stressed throughout the sermon on the mount - and this is a demonstrable fact.

Fallaciously appealing to ignorance "we can not understand the ways of God" - followed by citing man made dogma (which claims to understand the ways of God) is doubly fallacious.

I have taken the totality into consideration - it is those who are trying to support dogma such as the Trinity or Sola Fide that cherry pick.

While all Islamophobes here will find this to be the height of blasphemous slander I have to say yes. The muslim is never supposed to say the name of Allah without adding "the all beneficent and merciful" just so we never forget and there are many passages in the Quran that show Allah clearly values mercy highly (perhaps ISIS should read it someday). That being said Islam is clearly not much like Christianity in that respect. It is like Zen, a warrior's religion, seeking to improve men with the virtues of the soldier rather than the quietist.

The legend I have heard is that God has sent humanity inspiration on how he would be worshiped three times. The first time was with the old prophets and their rule was just but people found it too stern. The second was the gentle Jesus and people were pleased with it but soon went astray. Finally fed up God sent Muhammad with a sword to make sure the message took

Are you a Mormon?, my OP was on the relative differences between Mormon and Islam and the rest of Christianity. ( I am aware that some Christians don't consider Mormonism strictly Christian )

They just say that because they are sucking up to a Deity they are afraid of.

It is the same God that blessed Joshua for slaughtering the men, women and children and animals of Jericho in order to steal their land.

Or, are you saying GOD changed?

Technically in a way they are.

Christianity, Judaism, and Islam are all Abrahamic faiths historically and share some similar roots in texts.

ISIS was formed from AQ during our occupation. AQ wasn't there before we conquered Iraq.

Terrorism CAN be reduced. The terrorism of Ireland against England was reduced. The terrorism of Mandela against the apartheid government of SA was reduced.

We're just not taking actions that are likely to reduce terrorism.

SH was not a terrorist. He was Sunni and a harsh secular dictator. Our replacement was to form a government with the Qur'an as the top legal authority, led by Shiite rulers who have close ties with Iran and who carried out religious civil war against Sunnis inside Iraq.

    In theory, yes.
The jews invented the God, some from the Sumerian gods.
It is theirs, they have the patient on it.

The Christians took the God, changed the rules completely to where none of the Old testament rules apply anymore.
It is just a history book.
They added more Gods to it.
    and turned on the Jews.

The Muslims had no history, or contact with the Jewish writings on their own.
They took the jewish and Christian text, changed everything again,
to where the people themselves are completely different.
added their prophet, and turned on the Jews and the Christians.

It is a leap of faith to claim these religions are similar in any way.

I mean, your right. The Muslims rewrote almost all the texts in ways I don't find favorable to the Christians and Jews. The Quran promotes war and murder and favors punishment over forgiveness.

In other words, I'd gladly sit down and have a beer with Jesus, but Muhammad? No way lol

I'll have to look for it, but my reading of it suggests no works are necessary. You still haven't explained Lazarus, the thief on the cross, deathbed confessions, etc., etc. Or how about dead babies? Do dead babies go to heaven or do they go to hell because they haven't done any works?

    Bad example
The english and Irish do not have religious books demanding the terror.
The aparthide government of S. Africa lost and left.
100 years ago, they would have just wiped out the natives, but that is not politically correct no.
    SH was total terrorist,
    He ruled with terror.
He killed whoever got in his way.

    Saudi arabia is another example.
They were total terrorist, a long time ago, and ran everyone out of the country.
They will not let them back in now, even if they wanted to.

If English is your first language then you shouldn’t be this confused. Jesus specifically told you he is not abolishing the old law.

First we have to deal with the Sermon on the Mount - as this sermon has as its major theme how one gets into heaven. Going into other scripture will not change what is said in the Sermon on the mount. Right now we are at an impass because you have made a claim that I view as patently wrong. I do not deny that other passages such as those in John - and the others you mention "Could" be interpreted different ways.

This is not the case with the Sermon on the mount. Jesus is pretty clear. The majority of the sermon is works. How you can deny this I don't know.

Yes. Terrorism doesn't have to have a relationship to religion. It can result from very different sources - that happen to exist in many places in the ME. And, the reduction of Irish terrorism deserves serious attention, as that is a case that has been successful.

Your "wipe out the natives" thing was tried. Europeans got slaughtered. Plus, let's remember exactly how much that direction is against EVERYTHING that America stands for. Somehow I keep getting shocked by Americans (including Christians) proposing genocide.

You should read up on the definition of terrorism.

I'm frankly shocked that you would suggest Saudi Arabia is somehow acceptable when you think SH wasn't!

Correct, terrorism does not have to relate to religion.
But when you have the public brainwashed into a religion, forced from birth, and they cannot leave,
and the religion is all about terror, and how you deal with the kaffir.
You will have a larger percentage of people doing it.
I never said SA was acceptable, I think the country and it's policies are disgusting.

I know you are being snarky in your pride but I believe there will be a day you will regret that snarkiness.

No snark at all. It’s no different than discussing Harry Potter.

No I am not Mormon. Mormonism is very deceiving in how they nullify Grace and the Gospel of Christ but I need not dwell on that. I don't need to burn their house down to improve my own. Jesus needs no improvement . Islam has no relationship to Christianity.

I will correct you. You do not take Jesus at His word. You are selective to suit your point. Jesus said "I did not come to do away with the Law but rather to fulfill it." Your human nature dictates that you follow the letter of the law (or scoff at it's intent) but ignore the spirit of the Law. Jesus summed it up when He said God is looking for those with circumcised hearts. Perhaps you don't understand the meaning of that. God has chosen the foolish things to confound the wise.

Jesus specifically said he is not abolishing the old law. That is crystal clear and unambiguous. Sorry.

Well you continue to believe in Harry Potter and his "theory of evolution" it's just fine with me.

You may be sorry but an apology is not necessary. Apparently the part of "fulfilling" the law is over your head.

    LOLOL

You are doing what the Muslims refer to as Kitman, lying by omission.
You didn't read the whole verse.

Please tell us which prophecies were not fulfilled at the time of Jesus death.
