Isn't equality ultimately in the best interest of women?

Only 5.6% of the CEO's of fortune 500 companies are female.

Women are just not accountable the way men are.

    Consider a thought experiment.

Disregard gender, and only consider that there are two candidates for a job: person A and person B.

Person A is accountable for the consequences of their actions and choices.

    Person B is not.

Which candidate is likely to be hired and be an asset to the company???

Person A, who is accountable for the consequences of their actions and choices, or person B who is not accountable for the consequences of their actions and choices???

Women aren't accountable?? They are held to higher standards and often aren't taken seriously . They have to be twice as good as the man to be considered half as good

When a woman is arrested for the same crimes as a man they receive a 63% reduced sentence and that is after being many times less likely to even be prosecuted for the same crime in the first place. Is that accountability???

Consider this, when a Caucasian is arrested for the same crime as an African American they receive only a 10% reduced sentence. And I say, ‘only’ because everyone and I mean everyone knows there is inequality in the justice system towards African Americans but most people don’t even know about the sentencing gap between men and women and that gap is 6 times greater than the sentencing gap between Caucasians and African Americans.

Men are over 9 times more likely to study STEM at university than women. STEM degrees tend to pay more than other degrees. Yet women choose to study easier things that result in them being qualified for less lucrative careers at university and this is Men’s fault? Why are Woman’s choices men’s fault? Is that accountability?

A woman is not responsible enough to take birth control and gets pregnant and does not want to be burdened with a pregnancy so she has an abortion. Is that accountability?

Women are just not ac countable the way men are. Ultimately women would achieve more if they were equal, but are feminists working for equal accountability??? No, they are not. In fact, they seem to be working to make women even less accountable than they already are. The goal of modern feminism is not ‘equality.’ It’s to absolve women of all accountability for absolutely everything.

Women are not held accountable the way men are because the people not holding them accountable don't think they are as capable as men.

In other words, it's sexism and it's not in the best interest of women.

Why do male dominated professions pay more? Sexism! Nothing could be more Important than teaching, and it is a female dominated profession and pays much less. . It was patriarchy that excluded women from medical schools etc. now that women fought for equality medical schools and law schools are more than 50% female. It isn't the consequence of what they choose to study, it is the value placed on their jobs.
A woman who gets pregnant and does not want to be burdened with a pregnancy has an abortion and yes she is accountable and has the consequences. That's her choice to make....not yours. The man who got her pregnant also has consequences if she chooses to have the child and that's 18 years of child support.
I really feel like I'm back in the 70s listening to your rhetoric which I heard from men like you. Yes I heard that feminism isn't about equality etc. but as we ignored you, they got rid of all male colleges that banned women, Women got reproductive freedom, whether you like it or not, they got equal pay for comparable work, women sat on the Supreme Court,,and the house and senate, women got credit in their own names, title IX where women could get similar scholarships for sports and I can go on. All those whining men were just insecure because they now had to share the pie

I find it interesting that you say women are not held accountable the way men are. Yeah, men are held just as accountable for raising children and caring for a home (sarcasm alert) .

Did you even read what I wrote ? I specifically said women are accountable for their bad choice. But you seem to blame only women. Do you think men make a bad choice when they impregnate a woman? You don't think men are so stupid that they don't know they will be responsible for supporting a child for 18 years if she chooses to carry it To term? The third person who will be born should only be her burden? When are men accountable?

Since CEO's largely are never held accountable, I do not follow your logic.

My mother back when she was alive said and I think its true Feminists don't want equal rights but special rights, that means the protections they historically had and add on their choice of rights. I will give you a clear example women now have access to all the professions and trades including combat soldiers but they don't choose the dangerous and unpleasant work with exceptions but they want the comfortable and clean work. Men get the rest and with no one seriously complaining. Prove me wrong how many Feminist women really want women to be septic system workers or work in dangerous chemical plants or another example which is gender neutral roofers. Seriously now if you were the mother and a daughter said I want to be a toxic waste removal expert would not seriously find that crazy its dangerous and can get her disabled or killed. A Social Worker is less of a risk. And I will note the latter often pays less than the former by a good difference and the former doesn't demand a college education. I never said ALL women just most. If one has a choice.

What's going to happen and its happening now women will move into clean white collar and likely blue collar work and men the unpleasant work.

As for this Patriarchy it was a necessary social construct for millennia for society to survive women needed to be safe to make babies and raise children, men did in most cases as far as it mattered did everything needed to protect the women and children and took care of them doing dangerous and unpleasant work including by the way the viciousness of politics. Now its good women want equality but with that comes the same dangers and risks as men if a woman attacks a man she should be treated the same as a man and the man being attacked has the right to beat the woman down if needed. No man would expect to attack a man who is equal and not risk being beaten down. [But women have the privilege that men are wired not to harm women under normal circumstances in Western and other cultures to a noticeable degree.]

I think your hypothetical is silly. You are right I wouldn't want my daughter to work in a dangerous chemical plant..BUT I WOULDN'T MY SON TO EITHER. You are correct, I wouldn't want my daughter being a toxic waste removal expert BUT I WOULDNT MY SON TO EITHER! Why would women want to go into dangerous and unpleasant work? But if it paid well, they should be allowed. Being a cop or firefighter is dangerous and women are taking those jobs, why don't men fight to be secretaries or daycare workers if they don't want dangerous work?
I would want her be able to go to Harvard, just like I'd want my son to.
I really don't want to equate equality with violence. In most cases women are weaker phsically than men and less prone to violence. That's another issue. What you seem to be doing is confusing equality with "sameness." Having equal rights does not mean that men and women are the same. I would imagine your mother was growing up before the woman's movement because many women were threatened by it. Just the fact that your mother believed that women wanted Special rights is telling. What special rights? Like equal pay? You seem to talk about the military. Yes men seem to dominate the military. Women have a different role they breed and raise the soldiers.

Women are just as if not more violent than men in their domestic relationships. However, women's violence threatens the victim paradigm on which must of modern feminism is based, therefore it is suppressed by the media because confronting women's violence and ergo feminism is not politically correct.

Sure women are so much more threatening in marriages. Poor male victims. You make up ridiculous stats and fall back on the attack media ...believe me, fox would be all over this. Soon you'll tell us the problem isn't child abuse, its parental abuse

So you are a Feminist and you're denying women's violence??? Is that accountability???

    Hit like a Girl:
    Women Who Batter Their Partners
    Theresa Porter

    Abstract
Domestic violence by women represents a blind spot for western society. Since 1977, multiple
large scale international studies have demonstrated that women can and do beat, batter and murder
their male and female intimate partners at a rate equal to or higher than that of man
    , yet this issue
is not simply ignored but denied by society at large. Women’s use of domestic violence is
misrepresented by the media and denied by feminists, both of whom find the topic threatening.
Despite this gender symmetry in domestic violence, media representations display male
perpetrators 10 times more often than they display female perpetrators and when it is displayed, it
    is usually shown as humorous.
For the media and the society it caters to, domestically violent
women represent a failure of social control; women are not behaving in the expected manner. For
feminists, domestically violent women threaten the victim paradigm upon which much of Second
    Wave feminist was based.
This paper will examine the prevalence of domestic violence by women
against their intimate partners, explore the societal myths and gender dogma that both hides and
perpetuates this form of violence by women.

I think your source is bullshit, I do not believe women beat, batter and murder men at a rate equal to higher than men, so I won't even debate it. Sounds like one of those articles that debunk smoking is harmful

Well then how about a meta-analysis of 200 studies then? Are you still denying women's violence??? Does women's violence threaten the victim paradigm on which your beliefs are based???

Over 200 studies have found about the same percentage of women
as men physically assault partners, and that the risk factors and
motivations are mostly the same as for men. Explanations are
suggested for why this fundamental fact has not been perceived by
the public and practitioners' including concealment and denial
by many academics who know the research. Explanations for
concealment and denial are also presented, with discussion of the
adverse effect that misperception and denial have had on prevention
and treatment programs, The practical implications of
recognizing gender symmetry in partner violence are discussed

Then I suggest you organaize men who are battered. That's your battle, not mine. I am not suprised that women will get physical with men, but they are much less of a threat. It's like children hit their mothers, but I focus more on mothers who hit their children

Yes, that is not your battle because you are a Feminist and Feminists don't care about inequalities effecting men because feminism is not an equality movement, right? Feminism in actuality is a supremacist hate movement, not an equality movement, right?

Oh you poor little white male victim. I ache for you....you lack equality. I look around and all I see are women in charge.you sound like a man who had all the privileges and is pissed off because he sees women succeed. As I said, start a movement so men can have equality. We need some male CEos and all those women in congress from the top down, they have to let some men have power. Damn matriarchal society. And those colleges denying men admission for generations have to catch up. (Tongue in cheek)
What rights do you want that you don't have? Why do you think woman want a supremacy? Why are you so afraid of powerful women.

...and this is when a Liberal starts psychoanalyzing. It never fails. Liberals always think they're psychoanalysts-lol.

I'm an equalitarian and civil rights activist working for gender and racial equality for EVERYONE, regardless of race and gender, not just men, not just women.

As an equalitarian I believe capability depends on the individual regardless of race and gender.

As an equalitarian I believe there are women just as, if not, more capable than most men.

For example, two women just passed the army's elite ranger training school. Most men couldn't do that.

As an equalitarian, I believe opportunities should be based on merit, regardless of gender and race.

As an equalitarian I believe people should be accountable for the consequences of their actions and choices, regardless of gender and race.

Feminists believe women and minorities are not capable and therefore need special laws that benefit just them and no one else, which is the very definition of racism and sexism.

As an equalitarian, in general, I am not fond of any supremacist hate movements including feminism, including the KKK.

Women are accountable which is why a large proportion of women prioritize family and children over heavy responsibilities and long hours. They know they haven't prioritized their careers and accept the consequences.

Women now days can choose to prioritize career advancement...they have equal opportunity to do so.

    ,

Well like mother like son, wrong. Did your mother vote? Then she was a hypocrite !!!! What are these "special rights" you're blathering about ?

There aren't any, you just think giving women "equal " rights is somehow more than they deserve!

    .

What "historical protections" did women have?

They had no protection against rape , having their money confiscated by fathers and husbands, they could be divorced and thrown in the street without even clothes if there filth of a husband chose to, they were forced by society to breed and work themselves to death for men,...they couldn't vote or own businesses, or put their names on inventions THEY made, they weren't allowed to have birth control, they died in childbirth, if they stayed single they could only be nurses(scrub women) , maids, or teachers or prostitutes, they were not allowed to attend college, become doctors or architects and when they did manage to get into a college they were harassed, they were raped and beaten by their husbands who weren't arrested for the assaults, they were sexually harassed at any job they could get...

WHAT AND WHEE WERE THESE IMAGINARY "PROTECTIONS" ???????????????

Now you want to dictate what jobs they should take? Like in the 19th century? Many woman could and did take dirty dangerous jobs DESPITE the horrible harassment form frightened LITTLE men who thought they should be ashamed that a woman could do the work they were doing.

    .

NO, men got what jobs they wanted.....did you think bank CEO's had dirty dangerous jobs?????

Feminsts want women to have the right to CHOOSE for themselves what job they want not be told what job they SHOULD HAVE by frightened men.

GOODGAWD! What century are you in!!??? Women HAVE white collar and blue collar jobs and have for a hundred years!!!

....and for you to contend that men ONLY have dirty jobs is assinine

What a pile of total horsepoop !

One of the leading causes of death among women is their husbands or boyfriends KILLING them , the "protectors" who "love" them....

The only protection women need is from men who don't think women have the right to be human.....like you.

As an equalitarian, I do not believe anyone is responsible for what other people who share their race and gender combination may have done hundreds of years ago before anyone alive today was even born.

    It's ludicrous.
