Israel asked Ankara not to sell images of its territory taken by new satellite to Palestinians,/ Ankara not quick to comply

"Meanwhile, it seems the Israeli efforts are not bearing fruit. "We will decide how to use the images taken by our satellite,” high-level officials from the Turkish Defense Ministry told Today's Zaman."

Told you, your expectations doesn't reflect the facts. That's why the internet warmongers like you will always wait, claim (*)(*)(*)(*), see it not happening and get bored. Go play some CSS, Delta Force, Battlefield or something, imagining as if your oppenents are Turkish troops. That's all I can suggest to you.

Turkey just wants Israel to say "sorry", but Israel doesn't want to. That's the short version of the long story. If Israel said "sorry", then Turkey and Israel would be best friends again.

Israel and Turkey used to be best friends. The current government of Turkey (an Islamist party) made a strategic decision several years ago to re-orient its foreign policy away from the Western countries towards the Arab/Muslim world and the easiest way they found to score points was by bashing Israel daily.

Notwithstanding of what the Judge said the relations between the countries had deteriorated significantly long before the whole 'apology' demands surfaced, it's Turkey that should have apologized but even if Israel did apologize, it would have changed nothing, strategic foreign policy decisions are not affected by an apology.

Turkey is not going to apologize for Israel since Israel murdered innocent Turkish civilians. The Israeli government is retarded.

Turkish democracy and demography have hardly changed in the last 20 years (well in all fairness they have far less democracy now), the public has become more Islamic and less secular of course. The main difference is the current Turkish government headed by Erdogan and his Islamic party which all but gave up on the EU membership and turned their interests Eastward towards the Middle East. Actually I did not say that was wrong, I just described what they were up to without providing my personal opinion or judgement on their policy shift.

The key point is Turkey has not been against the mere existence of Israel state. And still is not. But I agree that Turkey has made a strategic decision. She is now focusing more and more on the ME and not so much on Europe. Erdogan played the Israel card to show the entire ME that Turkey could act what the ME states can't.

But I don't agree the idea that Turkey is also acting against the western allience. All Turkey did is also supported by the US, I am perfectly sure. Once the US wanted Turkey to stop playing with Israel, Turkey stopped on the line.

What one should understand that an influencial Turkey over the ME doesn't conflict with the US strategic plan, on the contrary it completes. As I said several times before, Turkey isn't Islamic, she shows off, remember Erdogan promoted secularism when Arab springs ended.

For decades the Us PAID Turkey to be Israel's trading partner in the region..

But, Turkey got tired of being screwed over by the Israelis..

Turkey is oriented to the West.. Iran is oriented to the East.

I think Turkey got tired of being over run with millions of Iraqi refugees every time Bush and Israel failed at diplomacy.

Do you think Israel will violate Turkish airspace in their attack on Iran?

What? Is it too hard for you to realize that a white, American grandmother is telling you that Iran sells gas to Turkey who in turn transports and sells it to Europe..

Do the Israelis ever stop and think what their bully tactics and paranoia costs others?

With the collapse of the Soviet Union and the weakening of the West, Islamic countries are going to become more assertive and aggressive. Israel is the little satan, and will be set upon first. Then, the European islands and territory once held by Islam will be retaken one by one. Oppression of Muslims will be the excuse.

There is also a good chance of another Muslim internal war for control and the formation of a caliphate.
