The support of Israel coincides with the rise of the America Christian Right and the size of their vote. Prior to that you had Carter expressing concern about getting the Palestinians some rights. That was never achieved and they have lived without them in an increasingly hostile environment since. Now the US is well happy with seeing civilians including children, including the Press shot dead or given life changing injuries because they dare to protest in a way the have a right to by International Law.

Netanyhu has been working with the neo cons and American Christian Right since Oslo to make sure there would be no Palestinian State.

Most of that cost was due to terrorism against us for having bases in SA and other Muslim holy sites, not so much for supporting Israel.

I can't make sense of this as a response to my post. Anyway, do you agree with that stupid argument?

How are they pretending they are a democracy?

Do you have any examples of when a request like this has not been approved? What are you thoughts on the fact that in this case Tlaib's request WAS approved.

All them condemnations against Israel proves differently. Condemnations even by EU nations.

The biggest Muslim nation is not even on that picture. lol

They can go back to Europe, the US, Russia, etc... where they came from.

No, but people are restricted from entering aren't they?

Ridiculous that she didn't decide to go. Clearly she doesn't give a flying sh*t about her grandmother.

If they pose a danger to the State, of course. Did you read up on this horrible group that was sponsoring her? They beautify suicide bombers and claim that Jews use the blood of Christian children in their religious ceremonies.

She not only refused her permitted visit to her grandmother, both her and Omar chose not to go with the Congressional Delegation that visited the week before.

    Compare and Contrast:

ON THIS DAY IN 1919, RODDIE EDMONDS WAS BORN NEAR KNOXVILLE, TENNESSEE: Almost a century later, in 2015, he was posthumously recognized as “Righteous Among the Nations,” Israel’s highest honor for non-Jews who risked their lives to save Jews during the Holocaust.

He never told his story to his friends or family. His son learned about it only after his father’s death.

Master Sergeant Roddie Edmonds’ unit was surrounded by the Nazis during the Battle of Bulge. While they held out as long as they could, they eventually surrendered on December 19, 1944. On January 27, 1945, Edmonds arrived at Stalag IX-A along with well over a thousand fellow POWs, all of them exhausted, dirty, half-starved, cold, and no doubt frightened. As the highest-ranking non-commissioned officer among them, he was in charge.

For reasons I cannot begin to understand, the camp commandant’s first priority was to separate the Jewish from the non-Jewish POWs. Germany’s defeat was all but certain by then; you’d think he’d have given it a rest. Nevertheless, as soon as Edmonds arrived with his men, the commandant ordered Edmonds to assemble all Jewish soldiers the next day so that they could be dealt with separately.

“We are not doing that. We are all falling out,” Edmonds’ men remember him saying to them. So instead, all of the American POWs assembled that morning. The irate commandant held a pistol to Edmond’s head and ordered him to identify the Jews: “They cannot all be Jews!”

We are all Jews,” Edmonds replied.

Edmonds told him that if he wanted to kill the Jewish POWs, he was going to have to kill them all. He reminded him that there is such a thing as a war crime and that under the Geneva Conventions name, rank, and serial number are all you get, not religion.

    Miraculously, the commandant relented.

The Jewish-American prisoners at the other camp—Stalag IX-B—were not as lucky. It’s not clear what the facts were there. By some accounts, Jewish prisoners were asked to identify themselves and the senior officers there urged cooperation. By other accounts, the Nazis picked out the prisoners who looked Jewish (along with prisoners who were identified as troublemakers). Both stories may be true. In any event, those selected were sent to a slave labor camp where the death rate was horrifically high, despite the fact that the war in Europe lasted only another 3 ½ months.

Jews were only about 2 or 3% of the American population at the time, but they were a higher percentage of the prisoners at Stalag IX-A. Edmonds’ courage is thought to have saved about 200 lives that cold, winter morning. He was then, now, and forever an American hero.

Sure, but weren't they wanting to go to Palestine, not stay in Israel?

    Why do you mention this?

Does the Christian Left being involved in politics bother you? It was Truman who first recognized Israel, not sure he's a Christian Right.

Only Democrat Senators who advocate for Israeli boycotts and hang with groups who support suicide bombings. It has to do with Isreali law, which allows banning of advocates of boycotts. We don't know if the decision by Israel had anything to do with Trump, but I'm glad they made it.

    Of terrorists, I applaud that.

Red herring of the day, you are ahem, less than truthful to bring up Israel's responses without mentioning the causes, i.e. thousands of rockets fired at civilian areas, suicide bombings and many other kinds of terror attacks by savages not recognizing Israel's right to exist. Most other countries would have turned the Palestinian areas into a greasy spot on the map long ago for these crimes.

The Palestinians don't want peace, they've turned it down several times. They just want there not to be an Israel so they can get back to fighting each other.

    Laughable post! Utterly laughable.

Why else would they bar them, because they are women who don't wear snoods???

It doesn't matter whether Trump's coment came before or after.

Your second paragraph isn't analogous, obviously.

Israel undermines every principle we stnd for.

Even a recent head of Mossad stated that Israeli policy is a foreign relations problem for America.

How much of an asset has Israel been in our involvement with Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Saudi, Yemen, Egypt or Libya?? How much has Israel's ongoing humanitarian atrocity helped us?

That is absolutely and totally irrelevant to the topic.
Again, whethher you agree with them or not is absolutely and totally irrelevant to the topic.

When traveling outside the US, our congressmen are to be respected. The idea of our PRESIDENT stating otherwise is just plain unacceptable.

    ???
I said NOTHING about ANYTHING being "America's fault".

You stated Israel is our second ost important ally. I pointed out that dosn't even make sense. Even Saudi Arabia one of the more dispicable regimes in the region, is a more important ally than is Israel. At least SA has military "value" in that we can bomb a wide range of countries from there.

They are not extremist. Generally I find myself pretty close to them on a political level.
That is irrelevant to what I said, as indeed was your first point. Possibly look again.
