"A comparison between the world’s 47 or so Muslim-majority countries and the rest of the world – derived from measurements developed by sociologists Brian Grim and Roger Finke and undergirding the Pew Forum’s rankings on religious freedom – shows that Islam clearly has considerably lower levels of religious freedom than the rest of the world and Christian-majority countries. In their 2011 book published on the same data – “The Price of Religious Freedom Denied: Religious Persecution and Conflict in the Twenty-First Century – Grim and Finke show that 78 percent of Muslim-majority countries have high levels of government restrictions on religious freedom, compared with 43 percent of all other countries and 10 percent of Christian countries."

Clearly, the anti-semitic, anti-Israel crowd that rails in thread after thread about jews in Israel are utterly ignorant about how much worse the arab muslim world is - but I'm so very happy to be a member of such a great forum that allows me to point this fact out to them, and perhaps even educate them about it.

You claim the Israelis are better at religious tolerance than Arabs. Better isn't the same as good though, is it?

Repression of its mainly Muslim minority along racial lines is no better than religious oppression in Arab countries, is it?

Please elucidate your position more clearly. I think you're narrowing the picture to suit your prejudices. I would say intolerance is the norm both in Arab countries and Israel.

They are, by a WIDE margin. Notice how none of the usual jew/Israel haters are posting in this thread.

Minorities flock to Israel from all over the mideast, and can open churches and mosques - just like anywhere else OUTSIDE of muslim countries, of which there are 57 of them.

Given that Israel is better than 57 muslim countries, which make up 1/4 - 1/3 of the number on earth, and is comparable to many others, then claiming Israel is good is factually correct.

You do not know WTF you are talking about. There are arab muslims in the Israeli parliament, judges including on the Israeli supreme court, police, teachers, doctors, pro athletes, etc. Unlike the arab muslim world, there are no laws preventing Israeli arabs from working, owning land, voting, etc.

If you are referring to arabs living in the west bank or gaza, they are not Israeli citizens.

Where is your proof that intolerance is typical in Israel? Israeli doctors treated over two thousand muslim fighters from syria, a country seeking to destroy it. It brought in tens of thousands of black african refugees, along with thousands of others. It has non-jews in almost every profession in the country.

If you are going to make these ridiculous claims, you'll need to prove them, which you have not even attempted. Funny how you accuse me of being prejudicial, and then go on to make these broad, extreme claims with no facts nor evidence.
