Allon would've never referred to Arabs of Palestine as the "Palestinian population", since back then in the 40s "Palestinian" was a term designating every citizen of the British Mandate, Jews and Arabs alike. The original quote does mention "population", not Palestinians - the hostile Arab population of Lod. Taking the quote out of context to make it look like it refers to all Arabs of Palestine, and adding one loaded term to make it look like Israel founders knew the land belonged to another people and plotted to ethnically cleanse it, it's standard procedure for anti-Zionists. Couldn't be otherwise, since anti-Zionism, based on lies, only thrives in the twilight zone where crass ignorance, wishful thinking, senseless hatred and brazen disregard for truth are meeting to create the most distorted version of history ever dreamed by a sick mind.
