Then use the "times of Israel" source. Either way - you asked for proof and were given proof... from the mouth of the IDF chief.

Then explain what claim in the al jazeera source you are contesting - and we will find you another source.

You are running and hiding - desperately trying to deny reality - which is not the way an Objective Historian Operates. This is what I find so strange about your reaction to information that conflicts with your perspective.

This is why so many of your perspectives are flat out wrong btw - rather than let reality shape your perspective - you try to make reality fit into your perspective ... and thus it can never be corrected.

Not only Israel has supported deranged groups in Syria, it has supported and armed one of the most disgusting Al Queda affiliated groups against Iran. If you need a tale of their horrors, I can give you an idea. And did this using agents that pretended to be American, to put the blame on the US (which nonetheless supported the group against Iran as well, even if tried to publicly distance itself from it).

Obama was no 'ally of Iran', but chose to fight Iran differently. Otherwise, no ally of Iran would wage the kind of war the US supported against Iranian allies in Syria and Yemen.

Regardless of president, the US has done some dastardly deeds in the region, much of those in the nature of supporting terrorism and terrorist groups in America's "low-level wars" against Iran. The true story is covered by investigative reports by even those who write for the mainstream media in the US, but those stories aren't the headlines you are exposed to. The headlines are the propaganda fed to the reports and agents of various special interest groups doing their bidding by US government officials and by lobbyists for the special interest groups that control American foreign policy and more.

The Economist is an acceptable source. Cite them.

I'm surprised. I figured you would still be whining about the U.S. supporting the overthrow of Mossegh. Two thirds of century ago. Seems like every Iranian whines about it eventually.

No idea if the economist even covered the issue. What is the problem with the Israeli source ? and why would the economist be better.

This is a mindless attempt at diversion. "If it is not in the Economist - it didn't happen" LOL you are quite something.

A well thought through and serious post, I appreciate that - I myself would never write this much in a single sitting :)

When thinking of Israel, one first has to start with the realisation that Israel is full of Jews - the most loathed, despised, persecuted, oppressed, wronged and harassed people of the world, while also being the undisputed benefactors to the World. (I know, right?)

So, whatever Israel does to enhance its defence and well-being of its citizens, I summarily approve.

Should it not be the other way around, should not young Arabs travel from Ramallah to Israel for fun-filled nights, where there are a lot fewer restrictions for them? :D

The Jews in Israel - the US - and most of the rest of the world ... Sans places like - and influenced by our Buddy El Saud - are doing rather well. Not many pogroms going on these days - on the other side of the coin there sure is a heck of alot of State Sponsored "Poor Me" propaganda. Worse than the Nazi Fem narrative in some respects - something many Jews have commented on and are not happy about - nor are they real happy about the Zionist program.

There is however a growing undertone - but it is self induced in some respects. Israel is in clear violation of some international standards and norms ..but faces little repercussion - due to the double standard - of the body that is controlled mainly by the US - and affiliates .. the UN.

Israel is causing sht in the space - and the aroma from this is wafting out of the cage ... and this is causing problems - "Nuclear ones" that I would rather not be dealing with.

Imagine sitting at the table with Iran - China, Russia, England, France, Germany, USA - the topic is "Nuclear Proliferation"

All 5 other members are wanting to end the sanctions - and get a deal done. The US is not happy about the sanctions but wants the deal - and there no choice but to lift them to get the deal done - and that these sanctions are becoming worthless in that the other nations are already moving towards lifting them - deal - or no deal.

The US - takes its normal role of trying to lead - but this is the Security Council - and there are no "Leaders" - China and Russia stand up and say - you guys "the West" are responsible for getting us into this mess to being with ... Who was the sht for brains that decided allow a puppet nation - right in the middle of the ME - to have nuclear weapons .. somehow it was also a good idea to give them to South Africa.. who has since given them up.

continuing .. As if in Russia/China - you had some Pakistani National with access to the nuclear secrets - Time to sit down and let the adults in the room handle this.

And we are to respond ? a uuahhn ;iuue wqh;ew;j

This is not some joke -

The real admirers and lovers of Iran used to be the Jews. A few such people are around still, but most of the rest have been cleansed, if not physically, than spiritually, culturally and otherwise.

Nothing can be done. Unless China were to disagree, and why would they care, there aren't any countries (that really matter politically) that can do anything about it. I naturally expect Trump will happily accept settling the soon to be displaced (after a little peace-dozing has been done to their homes) Palestinians, somewhere within the US. It's a big country, after all. Lots of land.

Annexation of another country's territory, or in this case a territory that has been promised as a state, has - in modern times - often been seen as going too far, and something to be punished diplomatically. But if you either are, or have the backing of, a major, nuclear power.... you can annex all and who you like because... big armies + nukes. Violence and the threat of violence, is the only guarentee for peace against people who don't two squirts about your ridiculous "human rights" or think that the land you live on should belong to you. Palestinians were never allowed to defend themselves or their land. So they got excatly what you'd expect.

Yeah, sure, Obama was an 'ally' of Iran! What a bunch nonsense! If not for the fraud perpetuated against Iran by the JCPOA, Iran would have been able to easily develop a nuclear arsenal with more nukes than Israel could ever dream of having. Obama, and his real allies in Europe (and their agents in Iran), paved the way for those who have never been constrained by any deals or agreements, to complete the fraud. Even if Trump wasn't elected, the result would have been the same: Hillary would have actually gone about scrapping the benefits and promises of the JCPOA for Iran by finding the many ample excuses available and unaffected by the JCPOA, while keeping the constraints from the deal against Iran intact. And then use the 'snap-back' provisions of the JCPOA to put back all the same sanctions on Iran without having to bully and arm twist the rest of the world in doing so.

To be sure, I ultimately blame all of this on Iran's Supreme Leader. If I give Iran's regime some credit for some of its successes, there is no denying in my mind that the regime (and its leadership) deserve all the blame for following a course that has put Iran in a very difficult predicament today. A course that meant that Iran was neither openly crying uncle and taking its place as an obedient lapdog, nor developing the actual means to deter these folks from their dastardly agendas.

‘A knife in the back’: Palestinian authorities stunned as Arab leaders quietly accept annexation

After a report emerged yesterday alleging that influential Arab world leaders are quietly accepting the Israeli annexation of parts of the Jordan Valley and Judea and Samaria, Palestinian leaders are outraged.

Senior officials from the Egyptian, Jordanian, and Saudi Arabian governments spoke to Israel Hayom and confirmed that despite public statements condemning annexation, Arab world leaders are more concerned about Iranian influence in the region and maintaining close ties with the U.S. than annexation.
