Ok, Since the banning of human rights groups, Israel has of course been banning anyone who supports BDS and basically anyone who might speak up for the rights of the Palestinian people. A couple of days ago I heard that the Mayor of Dublin had been banned....but the Irish are not so easy to beat

The Ministry of Strategic Affairs, which is responsible for advising the Interior Ministry, said Michael Mac Donncha's entry into Israel was being denied because of his support for the BDS movement, and the Ireland Palestine Solidarity Campaign (IPSC).

The IPSC promotes boycotts of Israeli industries and products, and encourages retailers to remove Israeli products from their shelves.

Mayor Mac Donncha however denied he had been turned away by Israel. He arrived in Tel Aviv and travelled to Ramallah, in the West Bank, unhindered, he said.

The Sinn Fein politician is in Ramallah to attend a conference on the status of Jerusalem. He was invited to the conference by the Palestinian Authority.

“Rumours of my refusal are untrue. I’m in the hotel in Ramallah preparing for the conference," the mayor told Irish newspaper The Journal.

Yes, but this is obviously what is to be expected in this new Era. Trump has told Israel it may do what it wants. The US will support whatever they want. This is no longer just about Israel. This is about a new era. Part of that new era will be Israel expanding herself and taking what land it wants - literally whatever land it wants unless the Russian's stop her. I was listening to Timothy Snyder talking about the reasons for the holocaust the other day and he said, from Hitler's point of view, it was a war against the ethics of Jews. We are entering a similar time now where things which since 45 have been considered ethical will now become illegal. I really hope people start getting some understanding of this before it is too late. Now, as far as protesting such things, this too is coming to an end. With Theresa May's acceptance of the IHRA protest is becoming illegal of such things as vocal support for Palestinians, Opposition to Settlements, criticism of wars in the ME, rise of terrorism as a result of foreign policy and more

The attempt to ban him apparently failed because Israel spelt his name wrong.

Whether it is Israel or Spain and no doubt other places as well we are finding exaggerated claims such as above put on people to try to deny their right to their own values and beliefs.
