IMEMC 21 May — Dr. Ashraf al-Qedra, the spokesperson of the Palestinian Health Ministry in the Gaza Strip, has reported Sunday that Israeli soldiers have killed 112 Palestinians, and injured 13,190 since the Great Return March protests started on the Palestinian Land Day, March 30th, 2018. Dr. al-Qedra said that the soldiers killed 13 Palestinian children, and injured 2096 others, in addition to wounding 1029 women. He added that 332 of the wounded Palestinians suffered life-threatening injuries, 3,422 suffered moderate wounds, 9,436 suffered mild injuries, and 5,572 suffered the effects of teargas inhalation. Dr. al-Qedra said that:
502 Palestinians were shot in the head and neck.
283 were shot in the chest and back.
225 were shot in the abdomen and pelvis.
938 were shot in the arm.
325 were shot in the leg.
1,117 suffered various cuts and bruises to several parts of their bodies.
He also said that 27 of the wounded Palestinians suffered amputations in their legs, one in his arm, and four others had some fingers severed by Israeli fire. Dr. al-Qedra added that the soldiers also shot and killed one medic, and injured 323 others with live fire and gas bombs, in addition to causing damage to 37 ambulances.

Ok I put in a post outlining why the line that 50 of the 62 people killed in cold blood by the Israelis on the day the US moved its Embassy to Jerusalem is not true. In that I pointed out that this was rather a member of Hamas wanting to suggest it had more involvement than it did given that the Great March was not only not an invention of Hamas but rather a grass roots innovation but originally they wanted nothing to do with it. Because it was so popular with the people Hamas did eventually get involved, bussing people where they wanted to go, providing tents and so on and policing the Marches as is their responsibility Governing Gaza. Salah al-Bardawil's claim on Palestinian tv that 50 of those killed were Hamas was an attempt at propaganda to try and appear as if they are with the people when they had been very slow to see where the people were at in this. I also pointed out the irony of everyone believing this man when as a Palestinian had he been saying anything except what people most wanted to hear they would not have believed a word of it. I also pointed out that even had Israel killed 50 unarmed Hamas on that day it would not have made that any less a crime of mass murder.
