    “....Israeli scientists are on the cusp of developing the first vaccine against the novel coronavirus, according to Science and Technology Minister Ofir Akunis. If all goes as planned, the vaccine could be ready within a few weeks and available in 90 days, according to a release.

    “Congratulations to MIGAL [The Galilee Research Institute] on this exciting breakthrough,” Akunis said. “I am confident there will be further rapid progress, enabling us to provide a needed response to the grave global COVID-19 threat,” Akunis said, referring to the disease caused by the novel coronavirus....”

    Way to go Israel! I’m not surprised that they are the ones competing to be the first to come up with this crucial vaccine. Their scientific and technological prowess is remarkable. This is good news!

    I wonder if Israel does come up with and mass produce the vaccine for this if Iran which after China is one of the hardest hit by the virus will let their population have it?

    Apparently they are attempting to retool something they were inventing to help with a poultry virus.

    Even if it is fast-tracked, it probably won't be ready for humans for (at least) 4 months.

    It's indeed very remarkable, and there's definitely a lot of positive to be taken from the story of the Israelis. A small nation that continues to preserve despite historic challenges and animosity and hatred towards them and they continue to produce for the world at large and for themselves. It shows the human ingenuity that is possible.

    Please don’t pollute my seeds or posts with your hate of Jews and Israel. I’m strongly pro Israel and like Jewish people. I even fight BDS by using an ETF to directly invest in Israel through an index of their stock market. This isn’t the only seed of mine I’ve seen these kind of comments on.

    They haven't even got a vaccine to start testing! It then needs to be tested on animals and then at least a year on human testing before it can be given to healthy humans. Don't people think before believing crap that is published for marketing purposes. Loads of companies all around the world have been stating that they are close to a vaccine

    I hope so. I’m not Jewish but do have relatives who are and I’ve always been pro Israel because it’s the right thing to do and not out of any modern day biblical matter. I can understand if he’s being tongue in cheek due to so much anti Semitism being on line. I’m not here all that often so I’ll go with your word for him.
