    ... or rather, continues.

    Iran attacking U.S. base in Iraq. I hate to be right when this means that American lives are in jeopardy. But, as announced, the escalation continues.

    Only the most faithful within the Trump cult would expect anything the Idiot in Chief starts to turn out well. It never has... never will.

    CBS reports, "Iran has launched missile strikes against two Iraqi military bases housing U.S. forces in retaliation to the airstrike that killed Iranian General Qassem Soleimani five days ago. More than a dozen ballistic missiles targeted the Al Asad and Erbil military bases, the Pentagon said, and U.S. officials are assessing the damage. It's unclear if there were any casualties.

    "The Al Asad airbase houses about 1,500 U.S. and coalition forces. The base was on high-alert and paused their operation against ISIS several days ago fearing a revenge attack by Iran."

    Trump will not address the nation tonight

    President Trump will not address the nation Tuesday on the missile strikes targeting the Iraqi military bases, two senior administration officials told CBS News.

    Trump will probably go on the Rush Limbaugh show again or "Fox and Friends" so there is no one around to ask embarrassing questions. He is scared to death of the White House press corps.

    But..............didn't General Trump say he de-escalated the situation?

    That Trump, what a brilliant guy. End the nuclear deal, start a tit-for-tat ramp up of hostility, make the epic mistake of killing the equivalent of the VP and chairman of the Joint Chiefs rolled in to one guy............and have no plan for what comes next. Killing Soleimani was a tactical victory without a strategic plan. Other than golfing on Saturday.

    Let's all hope the idiocy of the clowns running this admin doesn't cause the ME to be engulfed in total chaos once again like when Shrub took god's advice and invaded Iraq.

    Respond? Most likely we wouldn't even be in this predicament if it weren't for Trump's obsession with Obama because he knows he could never so much as shine his shoes as President.

    That is all I have been able to find. It might change after sunrise. It is hard to build a shelter which will protect against those weapons. I was hoping they just dispersed as much as possible to minimize casualties.

    They would almost have to be underground shelters. In Vietnam we had sandbags stacked around conex containers with a baffle door so that we could enter at a full run. The smaller recoil less rifles and mortars would not penetrate them but the VC we were getting some 120mm rockets that most likely would What the Iranians are using are magnitudes more damaging. They would have completely destroyed our bunker.

    Even the MSM is calling the attacks a "slap in the face". The missile attacks weren't intended to cause mass casualties...only to cause damage, and act as a warning. That's why Iran announced a second wave of missiles were on its way. It gave time for people to evacuate.
