The Italian parliament is discussing a bill that would ban "the propagation of Fascism and National Socialism". If the bill passes, then store owners who sell Mussolini memorabilia, or football supporters who perform the Roman salute, would be guilty of a crime, and could be sentenced to up to two years in prison.

The main backer of this Orwellian bill is the ethnocentric jew Emanuele Fiano:

Fiano's assault on freedom of expression has been met with opposition from Italians:
    https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...aly-but-its-government-now-wants-to-ban-them/

What do you think about this bill, folks? Should Italians be thrown in prison for performing the Roman salute, or for selling a cigarette lighter with a picture of Mussolini on it? All opinions are welcome.

    Emanuele Fiano. "Trust me."

Emanuele (Lele) Fiano (born 13 March 1963, Milan, Italy[1]) is a member of the Italian Chamber of Deputies for the centre-left Partito Democratico (Democratic Party of Italy).[1] A prominent figure in the Italian Jewish community, Fiano is a past president of the Jewish Community of Milan and former director of the Union of Jewish Communities in Italy. (…) In his youth, Emanuele was a Jewish youth leader in the Hashomer Hatzair Socialist–Zionist youth movement in Milan.[2]

This is a picture of Italy's former prime minister and leader of the country's biggest leftist party, Matteo Renzi, performing the Roman salute. Somebody arrest him!

...and lots of jews are both liberals and zionists. They're liberals when it comes to pushing for "anti-racism" in their host country, and zionists when it comes to supporting the racist, genocidal bandit state of Israel.

There are also non Jewish liberal democrats that want to criminalize dissenting views. Exactly what is the point of this thread?

Are you saying that it was wrong of me to mention that the main backer of this disgraceful Orwellian bill is a jew? If that's the case, then I suggest that you write a complaint letter to the jewish news site JTA since it was its journalists who brought up Fiano's jewish origin. Here's the quote from my OP:

The Italian parliament is currently discussing a bill that would ban propagation of “the images or contents of the Fascist Party or the German National Socialist Party.” A leading backer of the bill is Chamber of Deputies member Emanuele Fiano, who is Jewish and the son of a Holocaust survivor.

    Oy gevalt, the antisemitism!

No. I'm just asking what's the point of it.

Like I said, I'm simply trying to understand the point of it.

It's very simple. I think that it's absolutely disgraceful that there are politicians who want to criminalize politically incorrect ideas and gestures. As I wrote in my OP, if the bill passes, then store owners who sell Mussolini memorabilia, and people who perform the Roman salute, would be guilty of a crime, and could be sentenced to up to two years in prison. Such a law would bring Italy one step closer to the dystopian society in 1984.

Then I would agree if that's the point of this thread.

So the only thing that disturbs you about this thread is that I mentioned that the main backer of this disgraceful Orwellian bill is a jew? Well, I'm sorry, but a lot of media outlets - in various countries - have brought up Fiano's jewish origin. I'm certainly not the first person to do it.

It's not that. it's who's presenting the information. Judging from your previous posts you come off as anti-Semitic. I personally have no issue with the article itself. It's akin to someone who comes off as anti cop constantly posting about cops abusing their power. I don't really question the source. I question the motive of the poster with a history.

That shouldn't matter. The truth is the truth, regardless of who's presenting the information.

I understand. However one does wonder about a person's motive when all he does is post stories about how a person that just so happens to be of a certain race does something bad.

That he is Jewish is irrelevant, and I don't understand why you describe him as such when 'Italian politician' would certainly suffice.
Unless you are inferring that he proposed this legislation only because he is Jewish. And that would be bigotry.

Major jewish media outlets have pointed out that Fiano is a jew:
    http://www.jta.org/2017/07/16/news-...tigate-beach-club-owner-over-fascist-messages
    https://www.timesofisrael.com/venice-police-investigate-beach-club-owner-over-fascist-messages/

Are the jews who wrote this also "antisemitic"?

It is ok for jewish media to point this fact out, simply because they are Jewish media outlets. Just like it is ok for blacks to use the 'n' word when referring to each other. Should we refer to the 'Catholic' Italian politician? No.

I have been following this story in Italian newspapers and on Italian news programs, and I can tell you that there is strong opposition to this disgraceful, Orwellian, jew-backed bill.

For example, Libero, which is one of the country's major newspapers, said that the (leftist) government should focus on combating immigrant crime instead of chasing fascist ghosts (I'm paraphrasing since I didn't memorize the actual quote), and the news channel TGcom24, which was founded by the former prime minister Silvio Berlusconi, even invited Il Duce's granddaughter Alessandra Mussolini to one of its programs, and she lambasted the anti-Italian jew bill. The program's host, a well-known journalist and TV personality, agreed with her 100 percent.
