Larry Elder, a black liberitarian Republican has entered the race. He could split the vote from Bruce Jenner and the guy with a bear.

He is a libertarian so I'm not sure exactly what he stands for or how popular he is.

Elder is a good man. Understands what the left is doing.

The last thing the Republicrats want is a black man in office who is principled and stands for liberty.

Both parties will work together to prevent him from getting traction.

Republicans love and support the black people of America. You are mistaken.

Without sufficient voting integrity measures, look for Newsom to overwhelming carry some counties by sufficient margins to overcome the counties where he loses.

LOS ANGELES COUNTY SHERIFF WILL NOT ENFORCE NEW MASK MANDATE: ‘Not backed by science.’
These Freedom and Liberty Office Holders should consider running for statewide office.

"Middle class splitting apart?". What nonsense. CA has a sprawling middle class that extends as far as the eyes can see.

I have lived in Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas ( born there ), Florida, New York, Illinois and California.

Of those states I have lived in California for 62 years.

California is one truly beautiful state. It has many wonders that are to die for, the coast line, the many cool beach towns, the unmolested coastline that stretches from Malibu to San Francisco.. It's not perfect, nor was any of the other states perfect I have lived in, but I'll take california over the others I have lived in.

40,000,000 choose to live here, twice as much as the next biggest state. Are some leaving? Sure, and they are welcome to leave, as we have too many.

There are many small towns that are uncrowded you could live in, if you took the time to look. My brother lived in Mendocino for 20 years.

Do they want ANY principled person who stands for liberty? I'm not understanding what his race or gender has to do with it.

The left manipulates the masses by segregating people into groups and then pitting them against one another to advance their agenda. Identity politics.

The Nazis used it, the Soviets used it, all authoritarian regimes use it.

Race and racism, or at least the artificial promotion of racism, is probably the most important weapon the left has in their arsenal.

Newsom has already won. Millions of “last known address” are being mailed out for ballot harvesters to mark.
But I’m flipping a coin for Larry Elder or Kevin Falconer. The is around one year until the reg Guv election. Elder will make the most noise to try to win that, Falconer will work to make changes but not the noise needed to win. Internal polls show the democrat legislature’s popularity falling to the point that they may have to come out of hiding and campaign.

And the mentally ill. I got verbally assaulted yesterday buy a big nut case dude yelling “Are you the one! Are you!?”, I whipped a quick right turn and brushed him back. I may or may not have run over his foot. No cop visit yet. A Prius right rear tire probably wouldn’t crush it.

(I was driver training my grandson, so I had to make sure we were safe to turn, plus keep an eye on the nut case so the kid didn’t panic and run over him. Crikey.)

"Artificial promotion of racism" = Obama’s identity politics.

Your anecdotal observation is unsupported by the evidence. This...

    4FB25F6D-13FF-4180-9DEA-C59A66EAA148.jpeg

... is exacerbated in CA by high home prices. My niece moved to Oregon from the Silicon Valley where the was a high school vice principal and her husband a teacher because they couldn't qualify for a mortgage on a decent home.
I grew up in Palos Verdes (Rolling Hills Estates) in the 1950s, then as an adult moved to Napa where I divided time between CA and British Columbia in Canada, and I fully endorse your comments about CA as a place to live.

The problem for young people is they can't afford to pay the CA location premium. My former home in Napa is probably worth about $1.4m today and even with $400,000 down would be around $5,000 per month on a 30-year loan.
Sure, I looked at all areas of CA before we headed to Oregon. We focused on north of Santa Rosa to the Oregon border along the coast.

High land prices in California is due to supply and demand, i.e., 'capitalism'.

Don't blame California high land prices just because it's land is so desireable with great weather and all so that rich people come here and bid up prices due to the free market.

If I had my way, I'd have the state own all the land, and grant permanent leases to those who have lived here the longest, according to ability to pay.
and to those who pay rent, subsidies to those who can't afford the rents.

I live on very little, I bought a 2 bedroom mobile home, 1200 sq ft, for cash, 10 years ago for $20k ( it's worth thrice that now), and my lease is $750 ( includes water and trash ) per month, which I split with my roommate. Not bad for living in San Diego. We live under rent control, in an over 55 park.

I've lived here for 60 ****ing years.

Those graphs don't mean ****, there is a sprawling middle class here, and nothing is 'splitting'. Wages and median income is stagnant across America, not just CA. due to factors beyond the control of any one state. In fact, your graph is a national graph.
