No one should ever have to pay a tax on their income. The COTUS had to be amended to legalize that subversive scam.

And yet with Reagan, Daddy Bush and the Shrub giving the rich tax breaks and corporations all types of breaks (i.e., you and I covering the cost of over sea's development of US companies to make and sell products back to us citizens), the economy damned near collapsed and jobs beyond temporary and low paying just didn't happen like promised for the vast majority. I notice how you ignore the pipe line from gov't to lobbyist, etc.

All tax cuts are good - including the Reagan tax cuts. Tax hikes are always very bad - including the Reagan Tax hikes.

Read again: "What if politics is largely about fund-raising and moneymaking? The commercial motives of the Permanent Political Class in acting or not acting are rarely questioned and virtually never fully understood.” EXTORTION, "How Politicians Extract Your money, BuyVotes, And Line Their Own Pockets, Peter Schweizer, HMO, NY, NY, 2013. p. 2, 3.

    Kung, that's all about lobbying.

“Former Microsoft COO, Robert Herbold told me, “you're crazy if you don't play along. They will go after you.” Ray Planck, the founder and former chairman of Apache Corporation, has seen his company cough up to both parties for 50 years. He told me that campaign money and lobbying contracts are “protection money. It's what you expect from the mafia.” EXTORTION, "How Politicians Extract Your money, BuyVotes, And Line Their Own Pockets, Peter Schweizer, HMO, NY, NY, 2013, p. 3.

You get what you can pay for in Washington.

How did the National debt go under Obama? Oh yeah, it nearly doubled.

He offered to close all foreign tax shelters to end that debt. Your Republicans declined to do so. Therefore, they are to blame.

Oh by the way, how is that debt going along?

The Democrats controlled the house, the senate and the Presidency all throughout 2009 and 2010.

Why didn't the Democrats "close all foreign tax shelters to end that debt" then?

Stop blaming Republicans for something the Democrats had a chance of doing, yet didn't.

Instead, they rammed down the American's throats an unread unwanted unconstitutional 2000 page pile of stinking crap ObamaCare that just added trillions to the National debt over the next decade or two.

Oh by the way, how did the doubling of the National debt under Obama go?

We've gone over this before: https://www.nytimes.com/2009/05/05/business/05tax.html

As shown in the article, Obama ran into opposition from the Pharmaceutical industry which controlled Congress, including Blue Dog DINO Democrats (the same ones who betrayed the proposed HCR as shown in the DNC, Summer 2008) who joined with the Republicans. It took him at least two years to be rid of those traitors. By the time he did so, Republicans were back in charge of Congress and his plans were screwed. When he again proposed ending the shelters, now it was Republicans who failed to enact it. The blame goes to them for that, not to the Dems.

So how is that debt going along?

Must be why he sided with health insurance companies with the ACA.

Remember, we have gone over this dozens of times on this forum - the DNC of Summer, 2008 called for complete HCR. Universal coverage for all. Those blue dog DINOs got elected largely based on that promise. But they, along with the anti-USA Republicans conspired to bring about a watered down version of the reform that got Obama and the Dem majority into office.

Obama was NOT the problem. Blue dogs and Republicans were.

LOL, the ACA was passed without any input from Republicans and with zero votes from Republicans. Nice try at deflection.

When Obama proposed it again in 2011 your Republicans refused to give him that reform. Thus, it is your party at fault.

No. No. No. You can't blame it on the Republicans when Obama had his own party in control of the house and senate for all of 2009 and 2010.

Obama didn't get rid of anybody. The President can't just remove people from office.

All tax cuts are good? GMAFB! You are clearly in denial regarding reaganomics in the past 30 years. Yeah, railing a moot point about political corruption is one thing, but using that common knowledge to deny the failure and detrimental effects of reaganomics is disingenuous at best. You can't fly that dog on a written format, because people can check back: https://www.huffpost.com/entry/reaganomics-fail_b_1617851

The success of Reagan's tax cuts is common knowledge. The failure of Reagan's tax hikes is also common knowledge.
The odd leftish spin of the HuffPo is also common knowledge.

Tax cuts have been a proven failure every time they’ve been tried. The economy took off in the 80’s and 90’s because of the tech boom, which revolutionized business. All the tax cuts under Reagan did was explode the deficit and debt, and transfer wealth from the middle class to the richest 1%. The same thing happened when Bush did it and when trump did it.

Tax cuts are only good for short term stimulus during recessions. Cutting taxes during a good economy like we have now is absolute fiscal incompetence. It’s why republicans should be barred from holding office.

All tax cuts are good for obvious reasons. All tax hikes are bad for obvious reasons.
All statements of concern over deficits are just more phony political posturing.

Data isn’t political posturing. EVERY time tax cuts are tried they increase deficits and debt.
