It's time to treat Russia and China fairly

There's a pro-fairness faction within the GOP in America...Fair to Russia and China, for examples. Dems, members of the center and members of the right in America misinterpret the willingness of a component of the GOP to being fair to Russia and China, for examples, as being pro-Russian and pro-Chinese. There's also this firmness component in the GOP about Russia and China which dems, certain members of the center and right in America totally ignore because they can't get over 'the offense' of being fair to Russia...Dems, certain members of the center and right castigate the fairness to China if it scores points against Trump, for example. I laugh because most dems, certain members of the center and right in America are far more 'fair' to China than Trump or any other member of this faction of the GOP which wishes to be fair and firm to Russia and China, for examples.

Now, I know, there's this bias against Russia from within parties on the left and right in America. In my opinion, most of the left hates Russia 'cause they still think Russia helped get Trump elected. In my opinion, the center and right which hates Russia wants to contain Russia within the 'reverse Iron Curtain' known as NATO. In my opinion, the center and right which hates Russia fears Russia can become as world dominant militarily and politically as the US if left unchecked...BTW, IMO, certain members of the center and right in America wish to maintain the current government in Ukraine to control the might of Russia...And, of course, members of the left still want to punish Russia for getting Trump elected.

Sidenote: One has to wonder why the center and right in America which hates Russia isn't all that concerned over the world domination militarily and politically by China?? Or maybe, it is that the center and right which hates Russia foresees China becoming the dominant force militarily and politically and wishes to cozy up to China now??

Putin sees this hatred of everything Russian from factions within the left and right around the world and is pissed...As he should be. Putin should be treated fairly (and firmly) as Trump has done. All world leaders (including Xi of Communist China) need to be treated fairly and firmly...Maybe folks will finally figure this out.

 

Tell you what when Russia and china treat us fairly then its time to do the same but they dont now do they .

 

You have to treat every country fairly (and firmly) or you get paranoid world leaders like Xi, Putin, the dude from North Korea and the leaders of Iran, for examples.

 

We need to treat friendly nations as friends and inimical ones as enemies. China and Russia are inimical.

Our relationship to Russia is very different than China. We do not have strong and extensive economic relations with Russia. We do with China.

The Chinese(individuals, corporations and government) hold $2.2T in USA stocks and bonds. Americans hold $1.2T of Chinese stocks ands bonds.

We have $800B in trade with China.

 

I do not like to call people enemies. Has a cold war feel to it. I like to think that China is not quite like ISIS or Al Qaeda. They are rivals though.

 

They have both been screwing up for decades and have global dreams , they sure are treating the Ukraine fairly and Taiwan and south china sea

 

I like it just fine. They are enemies of the U.S.

 

China has a GDP of $20T and north Korea has a GDP of $20B. That might play a role in how we relate to them.

 

Treating your best friend the same as the enemy that wants you dead makes less than no sense.

 

It's more complicated than that. Before Covid 2.8 million Americans traveled to China every year and more Chinese came here. From the videos I watched Americans are not treated poorly there.

Maybe dictators can't be trusted cause they're never trusted?? Hum??...Seems like a real failure in world diplomatic endeavors and the CIA, for examples.

 

Why doesn't the US treat every country fairly regardless of the country's GDP?

 

Seems like they get treated pretty fairly to me.

Unprovoked invasion, you get sanctioned and become a global pariah.

Don't invade, as in China, and you are not.

What's wrong with that?

Look, I'm not trying to get all gooshy woke on you. I'm looking to avoid conflicts if at all possible. IMO, the Ukraine V. Russia conflict could've been avoided with just a smidge of diplomatic application (well, at least, no one tried). Not to mention the possible WWIII conflict over Russia V. Ukraine. Not to mention the continued conflict between Russia and the US, er, the client-state of the politically elite in the US called the current government of Ukraine which will exist no matter the outcome of the current conflict between Russia V. Ukraine.

Not to mention the family of the president of the United States has close personal ties with the current government of Ukraine.

 

It is not a question of fair. You cannot ignore economic consequences.

North Korea is a dirt poor country we have no economic activity with. They are not much of a threat to us.

 

Or maybe he is your enemy because he is trying to destroy civilisation...

 

They have nuke missiles. That's beside the point. If the US wishes to stabilize the world, the US needs to treat each country of the world equally and fairly.

 

Of course not. They understand the consequences of harming American tourists and want to maintain trade with the U.S. They are an enemy nevertheless. In fact, they are THE enemy.

 

That's a lovely fantasy, but that's all it is.

 

In the case of Russia (or North Korea), a country can't ignore the nuclear capability of said countries.

 

What is your fantasy? Prepare for war?? Prepare to win??
