    • Failure to meet thread creation guidelines (Rule 11)
Believe or not, this is going to happen.
And you may be surprised by the result, again.

Doubtful. I'm not even betting on Trump showing up for the festivities in 2020. Fifteen months in presidential politics is like making a ten year sales projection for a Bay Area start up. Warren, is unlikely in my view -- too much baggage and the big money hates her. Look to the Midwest for at least one of the Democratic players. Blue state???? South? Lots of balls in the air.

Unlike the other Democratic candidates, Warren is composed and has a full set of ideas and policies. She is a bit dorky, but I think that works in her advantage and I think she is the second most likely candidate to win the nomination.

The one who is most likely to win the nomination is Joe Biden and Joe Biden will also - if nominated - easily beat Donald Trump.

I would also like all of you to note that it is not unlikely that Hillary will appear out of the blue to declare she is running again.

Nope. ChinaJoe or Crooked Hillary has zero chance to be nominated. There is just one word that has been defining American politics: China.
Anything not tough enough against China is out of the game.
Only the toughest will be chosen.
Trump was elected because he chanted China over 300 times during his campaign.
He is out in 2020 if he backs down.

The corrupt to the core DNC already decided on Warren before they gave Gaffe Master Biden marching orders to pretend to run for the presidency. Biden is walking political point for Warren, dealing with the resulting slings and arrows as gradually DNC ordered 'news' articles progressively (ha!) inform leftists how wonderful she is in comparison to seemingly senile old Biden. Eventually the DNC will tell Biden to step aside and then they will order the Mainstream Media to begin touting Warren as yet another sacred Political Messiah . . . and then the DNC will GIVE her the nomination . . . and then Trump will trounce her.

Yep.... nothing resonates better with Midwest/Rustbelt voters than an uber-liberal senator from an uber-liberal coastal state who has built her entire career on a fraud and a theft, spent her entire life in the Academia and Washington swamp and has absolutely zero real world/executive experience.

PS not that the current crop of political midgets running for Democrat nomination has anything better to offer - senile VP snubbed by his boss, crazy commie Bernie, horizontal Harris and Pocahontas LOL

Trump really does not need to campaign now. Democrats are doing it for him. Americans do not like the looney left and these folks have taken over the democrat party.

At this point there are no good Dem offerings. It's hard enough to unseat a sitting president running for re-election but damn near impossible with the current Dem field.

I HOPE SO MUCH WARREN WINS THE BLUE TICKET! Sorry did I say that out loud?

What better way to give the Republicans another win by running an alt left extremist nutjob who pretended to be Native American.

It’s early, but Warren has run the best campaign and slowly but surely is building her coalition. She’s got work to do with some segments of the D-coalition.

The nominee certainly can’t be a timid middle-of-the-road type that the Beltway and talking heads seem to favor. You know, “you’ve got to appeal to the Trump constituency to get elected.” The convention wisdom this cycle is stupidity. So I see Biden losing his current appeal as time passes.

I think Trump sent out another trial balloon, “talks with China”. China has denied. He’s wobbling on the trade war and with the slowing of the economy I can see him caving but claiming victory—again. If he had a clue what he was doing he wouldn’t have boxed himself in: the foresight of a short life creature.

As he becomes more recklessly unhinged his transactional support will erode. I do wonder if he will make to the general.

Nonetheless, I haven’t a clue what the future holds and your election match up is trending in the right direction. It’s going to be interesting.

Not so fast.Even though Warren has a good ground campaign in
Iowa { The First start of Presidential politics } Ole' Bernie has a bigger
edge with his since he operated one in 2016.Plus don't give too much
credit with these Polls. They were flat out wrong in 2016.Even the
    Exit Polls.

It may boil down to just what Dem Candidate goes lower.Keeping in mind
the Jeb Bush phenomena. He was ahead big time because those like
    MSNBC's - Morning Joe - kept building him up.Of course - Morning Joe -
was being followed { monitored } closely by candidate Trump.
Responding almost immediately when MSNBC tried to misstate
the Trump side of the equation.
Eventually Trump won out over Jeb due to good old fashioned
dirty politics. The Kind Warren and Sanders are pulling on Trump.
Eventually Warren and Sanders will have to start talking trash against
each other.Jeb Bush was not confident enough to battle Trump.
Jeb was used to having others defend him.Like a Karl Rove.
Trump was used to defending himself.
Sanders seems a little too dependent on his Bernie supporters.
    Like The Young Turks.

The only hope for me to vote Dem is if its Biden
Warren or Sanders are solid no's for me and I seriously doubt i'd go third party again so that means i'm going to be forced to vote Trump because the other options are worse. Biden or Bust.
FWIW in 16 if Sanders would have been the nominee I would have naively voted for him, but in 16 he was just a concerned and genuine guy with a couple of interesting idea's, now that he's gone further left (cat's out of the bag) I can't take him seriously.

IMO, the battle comes down to which team earns the most EVs in the 7 main Battleground States:

    1. Florida 29 2. PA 20 3. MI 16 4. NC 15 5. AZ 11 6. WI 10 7. NH 4.

These 7 states account for 105 EVs.

It would surprise me if Warren emerges as the DEM nominee.

No matter who emerges as the DEM nominee, if the economy sputters next year, Trump's already vulnerable reelection prospects become untenable.

I hope to help defeat Trump in Florida.

The Dem Establishment does NOT want Warren because she is an OUTSIDER.

They would much prefer someone like Harris or Gabbard.

I voted for Trump last time as the not-HIllary candidate. I won't do that again.

While I may not support a Dem (I like Gabbard but she looks locked out at this point), I won't vote for Trump again.

I get the feeling I'm not alone in this and I wonder just how many of us will sit this one out and if Trump can still win with his core supporters.

Well, that's a shame. For me, the more progressive and genuine the candidate, the better. Trump won as a change candidate and a political outsider. Why should the Democrats run an increasingly unpopular and senile Biden in the hopes that his "business as usual" approach will win the day? Sanders's and Warren's ideas are actually popular, however repressed in the reporting. Sanders kicks ass and makes waves everywhere he goes. Importantly, he also isn't the least bit afraid to step up and fight the good fights, even in the heart of what we think of as Trump country:

'Stop Your Cowardice': In Kentucky, Sanders Calls Out McConnell for Ignoring Protesting Coal Miners and Blocking $15 Minimum Wage
"I say to Senator McConnell: Stop worrying about your billionaire friends, they're doing just fine. Start worrying about the working families of your state and around this country."

Hours after rallying with striking AT&T workers in Louisville, Kentucky, Sen. Bernie Sanders on Sunday used his visit to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell's home state to blast the Republican for refusing to allow a vote on legislation to raise the minimum wage and turning his back on laid off coal miners protesting over lack of pay.

"I say to Senator McConnell: Stop worrying about your billionaire friends, they're doing just fine," said Sanders, a 2020 Democratic presidential candidate. "Start worrying about the working families of your state and around this country who are struggling to keep their heads above water."

    ... https://www.commondreams.org/news/2...-calls-out-mcconnell-ignoring-protesting-coal

Why the hell would you or anyone not want this guy to win in 2020? He fights for us the people, and here you are saying he's a worse choice than that giant phony and human scum in the White House today.

Biden, Sanders, and Warren would win all of the following '1. Florida 29 2. PA 20 3. MI 16 4. NC 15 5. AZ 11 6. WI 10 7. NH 4." with the possible exception of FL.

Anyone who would vote for Trump instead of Sanders or Warren should explain exactly why.
