The title says it. 99.9% income tax on richest Americans. So if your income is $2 Billion/year, your net would then be $2 Million/year. Want to trade places ?

You take my 10 bucks an hour, I'll take your 99.9% tax ($2 Million/year). Deal ?

My guess is that most billionaires would take your $10 an hour job and work their butts off making a new fortune for themselves.

I like your plan better than than being stuck with a brand new NINE PERCENT FEDERAL SALES TAX on every single thing that I buy, from groceries, to utility bills! This is Republican candidate Herman Cain's bright idea, and it makes me cringe to think that anyone but a knuckleheaded socialist could dream up such nonsense. Not even Comrade Obama has dared to suggest anything as regressive and destructive to the middle-class as this new Federal Sales Tax would be, because it would be ON TOP of all the state and local sales taxes we are already burdened with....

Obviously the "idea" suggested in the OP cannot be taken seriously. I would suggest that it lends itself to the notion that most people don't really understand the tax code and what really is the problem.

The income tax isn't the problem. The myriad of loopholes afforded to the biggest corporate interests allowing them unfair tax advantages against small market competition is a much bigger problem. Also, the capital gains tax is far too low, which makes it more lucrative for the wealthy to invest their money into investments other than starting new businesses, which stifles economic growth.

Doubt you Hollywood actors would agree to only getting paid 2 mil per film. Sense the actors usually get paid more than CEOs.

Wrong, the tax code is the problem and the fact (as you stated) that most people don't understand it proves it.

How about an acrross the board "fair" tax that even a publically educated moron can understand and where everyone pays a share. No loopholes.

The number of billionaires in the country has never been high, even though the number is decreasing.

The number of millionaires living in the country has decreased too.

Actually they provide the income tax money that President Zero converts into welfare checks for lazy Obama voters.

What would an "across the board 'fair' tax" achieve?

This assumes that you would ever get more than the first $2M from the billionaire. Already we are seeing a lot of cash flowing out of our struggling banks and going to places where they know the value of having lots of cash to invest in whatever. We need our banks to have that money on deposit sot hat we have it to expand our economy when we get rid of Ubama Care and throw his ass into the street alone with the rest of his criminal gang.

If you do that the billionaires won't work, or earn.

that will do wonders for the economy.

here is a hint for you, its not yours to take.

A fair income tax system could work, but not at the rates that Hermain Cain proposes it. 9-9-9 will not gather enough federal revenue to prevent detrimental spending cuts. I remember watching a CNN broadcast, and the 9-9-9 plan under current economic conditions would only accumulate $1.76 trillion in federal revenue. As of right now, federal spending is around $3.5 trillion. It is necessary to increase federal revenue while making spending cuts to eliminate the budget deficit and pay down the debt. However, under the 9-9-9 plan, there would be a completely lopsided deficit and debt reduction effort. It would require harsh cuts to federal bureaucracies and agencies, Social Security and Medicare/Medicaid, etc.

I couldn't agree with you more on your views of Islam.

I couldn't disagree with you more on your views of the economy. Socialism doesn't work.

Do you really think your employer will keep signing your paycheck when you make him/her a slave to the federal government? Come on man.
