OK, I read and came to this conclusion. I came to the same conclusion that Mueller and Barr came to. Barr reports there are no indictments to follow up. Since a meeting with his son happened, and he won't indict the son. congress has no duty to keep this dog and pony show going on. That may square your circle.

There is no such thing as a nonpartisan source these days. There really hasn't been in decades.

Never before has a television network news executive essentially been in a revolving door between being running the White House communications effort and a news organization at essentially the same time.

There is no question regarding Fox’s legitimacy as a news organization. It does not exist.

Prosecutors never exonerate anybody. They either charge someone and proceed to indictment or they do not charge someone and go on their way. Mueller was not officially appointed to do research for congress impeachment proceedings, but that is how he viewed and proceeded with his "investigation." His report is not that of a special counsel investigating a crime but is opposition research by dropping hints, innuendos, and breadcrumbs for congress to use in pursuit of unseating a duly constitutionally elected president.

 

28 CFR 600.4 does not authorize a special counsel to pursue or refer any suspected criminal activity unless it is a direct result and outgrowth of his specific assignment. Manafort does not fall into that category. And Rosenstein does not have the authority to assign Mueller to investigate other crimes.

Congress has no authority to conduct a criminal investigation and certainly no authority to continue Mueller's work. Trump cooperated fully and more completely with Mueller than any other president has. He has no obligation -- and shouldn't -- to cooperate with an illegal congressional witch hunt.

The Russian hackers were not the ones indicted, other than to a limited degree; got to keep your Russians straight. Trump fully supported the FBI and counter intelligence in pursuing the hacking. As opposed to Obama who told counter intelligence to stand down.

You can google it. Rosenstein gave him specific authorization to pursue Manafort. Rosenstein didn't assign him, Mueller found problems and ask Rosenstein for authorization to investigate those crimes per the memos direction. He could have handed it off like he apparently did with several others.
