    I'm not saying that Jacob Blake got what was coming to him. It is a tragedy that this man was shot in the back, 7 times.

    I don't know what the cop was thinking, I don't know if the cop was or wasn't following procedures. I don't know if the cop was in fear of his life. I do not know if there are circumstances of which I am not yet aware that justifies what this officer did.

    What I do know is that Jacob Blake is partly responsible for what happened to him.

    What is it that all these cases have in common? In all of these cases there is one common denominator. These individuals all were not cooperating with police. With varying degrees, many were resisting arrest.

    Whether it was Michael Brown, Breonna Taylor, George Floyd, or any of the many other situations, every single one is a case of people not cooperating with the police instructions.

    Given this knowledge, for black men in particular, knowing that not all police are perfect, not all are well trained, not all police can be trusted, doesn't it make sense to cooperate fully? It reminds me of the Chris Rock video about how not to get beat by the police. Sure it's comedy about a serious subject, but it's funny only because the joke is based in truth.

    So black men should act like their life is in danger any time they encounter the police?

    On the one side, police deserve to be treated with some respect, and they should be able to expect a degree of cooperation from law abiding citizens.

    However, 'cooperate or die' is not an acceptable policy in America.

    Agreed. But, "I'm just not going to be arrested today and I'm just going to drive off after cops attempt to place me under arrest with probable cause or a prior warrant" isn't any good either.

    iDK, a man can get pretty Damn near suicidal crazy when the fast food drive thru employee gives you some really BS like at a KFC telling you “We have no chicken left” Only got a couple pot pies, You want one?

    Agreed.

    The problem, imo, lays with the lawyers, city councils and police unions that have determined that its cheaper to shoot suspects than it is to risk cop injuires. And of course, with us citizens who don't bother to find out that they're training cops to 'shoot first' until we get shot. This is, essentially, risk management and liability mitigation gone berzerk.

    Breonna Taylor was in her own apartment in her own bed sleeping. The cops were at the wrong house in the totally wrong part of the city. You tell me how you think that's resisting.

    Dude when any one with a gun instructs you to do something unless you have a damn death wish complying with those instructions greatly improved your chances of not having a doctor pulling bullets out of your body to say nothing of survival and scaring them and acting all big and tough is definitely contraindicated. Why in the hell leftists don't get this obvious fact is beyond me.

    He had already been tased has a history of resisting arrest and an outstanding warrant and he's reaching into the car for something what do you do? Wait till he starts shooting?

    He was resisting arrest.
    Had an outstanding warrant apparently.
    Prior record of drunkenly pulling a gun on people and resisting arrest.

    That's about all we know.

    Well, this is working out well. About 1000 people per year are shot by police. That's 3-4 people per day (mostly white people) out of 50 million police detentions per year.

    By politicizing a handful of white-on-black instances, the BLM movement has turned hundreds more blacks into criminals (looters) and dozens if not hundreds more whites into criminal arsonists and felons (Antifa). Crime rates are up, businesses have been destroyed and countless people have been injured or killed in the riots. I guess if that's the goal, then they're doing a great job for their "cause".

    If they could just get the Democrat cities under totalitarian rule and order like in the movie “Demolition Man” , the number of murder death kills would plummet to zero

    What they need is more of those “Be well” speakers on every street corner to remind people how happy they are .

    I've never understood the whole compliance isn't important thing.

    Maybe I just need to get super crazy hammered, because it sure doesn't make sense when I'm sober.
