It is my belief that the primary reason for Hutchinson's testimony was a predicate for this subpoena.

    https://www.npr.org/2022/06/29/1108...t-cipollone-trumps-former-white-house-counsel

The House select committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol has issued a subpoena to former White House Counsel Pat Cipollone, a critical figure in the final days of the Trump White House who the committee has been publicly pleading with to appear.

The committee has spoken to Cipollone in an informal interview but Vice Chair Liz Cheney, R-Wyo., has argued from the dais for him to appear publicly.

"Our committee is certain that Donald Trump does not want Mr. Cipollone to testify here. Indeed our evidence shows that Mr. Cipollone and his office tried to do what was right. They tried to stop a number of President Trump's plans for January 6th. Today and in our coming hearings you will hear testimony from other Trump White House staff explaining what Mr. Cipollone said and did including on January 6th," she said on June 21 in the panel's fourth hearing. "But we think the American people deserve to hear from Mr. Cipollone personally."

The letter mentioned in the article is here:

    https://january6th.house.gov/sites/democrats.january6th.house.gov/files/2022-06-29 Cipollone Letter.pdf

    Notable paragraph:

...the submission of fake electoral ballots to congress and the executive branch, the attempted appointment of Jeffrey Clark as acting Attorney General, and efforts to interfere with the Congressional certification of the electoral college results on January 6, 2021

Wherever Trump is involved, the MAGA's are soft on crime.

It’s only a matter of time before they subpoena big foot. This isn’t going to save them in the midterms and by 2024 no one will care about this. And if they manage to make it so Trump doesn’t run in 2024, then Biden will have to best DeSantis which will be harder because the left burned up all their hate on Trump.

It's ironic because a DeSantis candidacy was unthinkable 4-5 months ago.

And now he would beat Trump.

I guess the 1/6 Commission is having a negative effect on Trump's image among conservatives.

I believe Trump would fire up liberals where they’ll get out and vote, not so with DeSantis. I truly believe DeSantus would be impossible to beat if the elections were today and Trump would be difficult to beat. Biden has literally sabotaged the Democrat party, both he and Harris are toxic.

Have you noticed how many “I hate Trump” threads and posts there are about a guy who is not president and how few “I love Biden” threads or posts there are? There are even fewer threads about Biden’s accomplishments. This is why democrats will yank both Biden and Harris and run someone else. So far the left wing media has floated Newsom and Clinton, but why would they run in 2024 and inherit Biden’s nightmare? Newsom will almost certainly run in 2028.

    You are avoiding the subject.

There is no question that the 1/6 Commission is having an impact on conservatives' perception of Trump.

The cult is slowly starting to crumble.

And Trump won't go away until he sets the GOP on fire.

Just like he did after losing the election.

Here's how this plays out. Sometime after the midterm slaughter, maybe before but I doubt it, Brandon's DOJ will present a case against Trump to a grand jury. It will not be a single damning charge but rather an index of lesser conjectures, of which the 'evidence' /s of most will be precluded in what will be a lengthy pretrial process - and that's the point. There cannot possibly be any reasonable conclusion of guilt here, no matter how much farce this one-sided Congressional circus puts on display. What the left hopes to do is prevent Trump from being a candidate in the 2024 election and what better way to do that than to give leftist states 'reasonable' /s cause to bar his name from their ballots because hes currently engaged in a criminal proceeding that they will, through their control of the court, drag on until such time as he can no longer participate.

The subject is the endless parade of nothingburgers the left thinks will save them in 2022 and 2024. And you don’t want Trump to go away, if he did the country would only have Biden to talk about. Is that what you want?

The MAGA cannot see the work of the 1/6 Commission as anything other than a political operation.

    But that's not the point.

You live in a world where even justice is politicized.

The problem is that Trump has already been rejected by the voters.

    It's over.

The 9 million people who made the difference in the election aren't suddenly going to come back to Trump if he won the GOP nomination.

They're still going to vote for a lesser evil, and the Democratic candidate, whoever he is, will still be better than Donald Trump.

So, you won't admit that the Commission has an impact on Trump's image.

Not to me or his supporters. And if it’s between him and Biden, who do you people will vote for? Remember, Biden is going to be dragged through hearings starting after the midterms.

A political event conducted by politicians in a political arena whereby the political process of which has empowered only political party to act, politically, to only present 'findings' that fit its political narrative.

I know that for you, nothing can diminish your devotion to Trump.

The question is whether you are able to see that it has an impact for other MAGAs.

    And you are unable to.

Are you able to convince a single MAGA in this forum?

Exactly, get Trump not to run is a huge win for Republicans. If they're united the left has zero chance of staying in power after driving this country into the ground at every turn.

I am not MAGA, despise Trump, yet I see the J6 committee as a political nonsense waste of time

Secondly, it is not about 9m people, 60-70K flipping their votes in 3-4 states in 2020 and Trump wins

Despite all of the hatred for Trump, Biden barely won

With inflation and the developing economic disaster, if you don't think that a lot of people are not going to hold their nose and now vote against Biden, then you are going to be in for a rude awakening in 2024

Biden won with a much larger margin than Trump in 2016.

and based on the math that actually drives the election

    AZ 10,457
    GA 11,779
    PA 80,555

    103K votes

So 52K voters switching who they voted for, and Trump wins

If I replace PA with WI, the electoral college is a tie (which would have been a win for Trump) and now you need under 25K to switch votes

    Biden barely won

Yeah!! He basically took Conman Donnie to task. AKA the American people flushed the toilet, clogging it however, since it was a big one. Sorry.
