Long long before that. Slavery has existed in Africa for millenia. The greatest enslavers of black people in the past few centuries were the Dahomey empire. The English fought a 60 year naval war and lost more than 2000+ men in their attempt to stop the African black slavers. The French ended the black slaver Dahomey empire in two successive wars. The woman warriors were slaughtered en masse by the French. The revisionists have made a movie that attempts to subvert history and pretend the empire wanted to trade something other than black slaves. That is a lie.

What needs to be done is the descendants of the black slavers in Africa should be tracked down. They need to pay reparations to the descendants of the British sailors and French army that fought to end it.

 

It's easy for privileged white people to do so....but even the average middle class black family can do that, but also worry about racism because racism and discrimination affects black people.

Black people face racism. That is what white people don't understand. You need to realize that.

Slaves were taken and kept by the victors in African wars long before anyone there ever saw a white man. Making slaves of conquered peoples has a long history throughout thew world long before it ever became interracial.

 

Blacks were kidnapped and sold by whites and Africans but whites took them and dehumanized and subjugated black people to years of violence, sadism and horrific brutality.

She has been doing it to children and adults since 1968 and made appearances on the Oprah Winfrey Show in 1992 after the Rodney King acquittal......that led to the 1992 LA riots, one of the worst in history until the 2020 riots took that out of first place....
