And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. (Daniel 12:2) Just because we like the idea of hell doesn't mean that it does not exist. Many people say they don't believe in hell, so hell can't exist. But remember: It doesn't matter what we believe; it matters what is true. Unbelief doesn't change reality. According to the Bible, hell is a very real place. We know if thirty-three times that Jesus spoke of it. It is a place of eternal, conscious torment, where there is terrible suffering and "unquenchable fire." (Matthew 3:12).

Neither the Hebrew olam or the Greek aionios necessarily mean eternal/unending/etc. They are both used to simply mean a long, but non-infinite, amount of time.

If there is such a thing as eternal separation from God, then 1 Corinthians is a lie. Which is it?

The Old Testament mentions hell. The Jewish Bible (called the Old Testament by Christians), as well as the New Testament, teach that there is a heaven and a hell. http://www.jesus-is-savior.com/BTP/Dr_Max_Younce/Hell/01.htm

I'm not denying that. What I'm saying is that there is a strong argument to be made that it isn't eternal. In fact, the only way to reconcile the idea of Hell with other Biblical statements is if it isn't eternal.

The Bible says that the inhabitants of hell will face "everlasting punishment" (Matthew 25:46), and "indignation and wrath, tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil" (Romans 2:8-9). We are told that when angels in heaven rebelled against Him, God "cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgement" (2 Peter 2:4).

The word there for "everlasting" is aionios. It literally means "lasting an aeon." Meanwhile, the Bible says that God will become all in all and that he will reconcile all things to himself. If there is a such a thing as "eternal separation from God," then you are calling the Bible's statement here lies. Which is it? Will God become all in all and reconcile all things to himself, or is there is such a thing as eternal separation from God? Can't have it both ways.

1 Timothy 4:10 doesn't mean that everyone will be saved. For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.

That's not the verse I quoted, though also a good one. You can continue arguing that Jesus is not the savior of all men, that God won't become all in all, and that he won't reconcile all things to himself, just know that you are arguing against the Bible when you say so.

Aionios in the Bible refers to eternal separation from God. https://www.goodfight.org/articles/commentaries-teachings/rob-bell-populating-hell/

Aionios specifically means "lasting an aeon." There are several examples of it being used in ways that clearly do not refer to eternity, both in the Bible and in other Greek sources. Even your own source says it can mean either one, lasting an "age" or an eternity. Only one of those two can be reconciled with the Bible's claims that God will become all in all and that he will reconcile all things to himself. Something you still haven't addressed.

The word aionion with punishment literally means eternal punishment. https://www.goodfight.org/articles/commentaries-teachings/rob-bell-populating-hell/

That's not always true. I've cited numerous examples of this in the Law & Justice section.
Seems most of society is too stupid to realize this or care.

To be honnest, it's not my main point, and it's true that society turn strange this last decade under some extremists influence, but I think my point still remain valid.

I'm not sure we can comparate "you will get fire tortured for eternity for masturbating" and "you will get a fine if you park your car wrong".

Obviously, authoritarism, either spiritual one which go through threat of hell, or the one of a government (there is too many examples at various degrees to quote one) is not a good thing.

God says no one is going to go to hell unfairly. Now, what God does, he puts in us this desire to look. One thing that reaches everybody is the heavens and God's handiwork. The Bible says the heavens declare the glory of God and the firnament shows his handiwork.

Wherever anyone is, and this is how this works, God says you will be without excuse because if you look up, everyone is going to wonder, every tribe will look up and say, I wonder where we came from. The minute that person has that question, God will send a missionary to that person. Why do you think missionaries, for some reason i got called to go to Uganda, why? There might be one person there, God says you let me worry about getting him or her the gospel. No one is going to go there arbitrarily.

There are two kinds of people: those who say to God, 'Thy will be done,' and those to whom God says, 'All right, then, have it your way.'

didn't Christians cover up for molesting priests and just move them to new churches? not sure that is only a Muslim thing....

why doesn't a God protect children in a church?

I put you on ignore, but after months of further thought I HAD to respond. So for once, I removed a person on my ignore list.

You speak of baptism and receiving the Holy Ghost for a year. In other words, it's a secret only for non members of your church. And with the latter in mind, is it sacred not secret if I EARN the good graces of a married couple who allow third parties into the bedroom?:roflol:
