    Aside from his ever growing and utterly blatant dementia, even the attempt reeks of irony. I mean since he's a Dem Party politician he risked getting egged by the radicals inside his own voting base. Fortunately for Joe, since he spends most of his time hiding in his basement that segment of his base cannot reach him. That aside it was as ideologically risky for him as for -- say -- a vampire reciting the Our Father prayer.

    Are you sure he was attempting to recite the Pledge of Allegience? Why is his hand not on his heart? Why is he looking around at the audience instead of looking at the flag? Why is the video only 8 seconds? Where is the rest of the video to provide context? Lots of red flags in this post.

    No he was reciting the pledge to the flag that we've never heard before and just plagiarized the pledge of allegiance.

    Where is the rest of the Pledge? Why was it cut? I have not had a chance to verify the OPs contention outside this edited video. Did you see the rest of the Pledge? How did he do? Did he mess up other parts to?

    He wasn't even trying to recite the pledge. They are taking audio out of context to try to fake that he was. He wasn't trying to recite the pledge. Here's what actually happened: he was criticizing Trump for (in his view) only seeing himself as the President of the red states, to which he responded:

    "I don’t pledge allegiance to red states of America or blue states of America, I pledge allegiance to the United States of America. One nation, indivisible, under God. For real. I’m running as a proud Democrat, but I’m not going to govern as a Democratic president. I’m going to govern as president."

    It's yet another desperate manipulation.

    Facts First: Biden was not trying to recite the entire Pledge of Allegiance when he said these words. He was referring, more than 22 minutes into a campaign speech, to particular phrases in the pledge -- to make a point about how he would not divide the country between "red states" and "blue states" as Trump does.

    This fake news has already been debunked. He wasn't reciting the pledge. It was (more) deceptive editing meant to super gullible Trump supporters who never learned to fact check.

    One could be forgiven for thinking Biden would forget the pledge.

    However, taking a video posted by Trump or one of his campaign surrogates at face value? That's the very definition of foolish.
