Oh. I think that was the goal. It appears to be one-note in any thread. <shrugs>

I wonder how many more times a certain someone will feel the need to mention Trump in this thread even more in a thread that has nothing to do with Trump? If if one more to try to attempt to say that it's relevant because racism...

Then I guess we could talk about not wanting our kids to go to school in racial jungles.... Or blacks not knowing how to use the internet ... Or being unable to work in a 7-Eleven without an Indian accent.

I could go on but why bother you see the point.

If you don't like him, don't listen. He is the most listened to podcaster in history and his view totals are approaching the COMBINED total of the entire MSM. You can't muzzle him with your faux outrage. Fewer and fewer people give a damn what progressives opinion on anything is. Go police yourselves and leave the rest of us the fock alone.

It is funny that some posters don't apparently understand Rogan is a Democrat and it is in fact strange to call people Black when they are actually brown.

Why are liberals now so worried about Rogan? You people are like Maoists. I guess it hurts your feeling or something that more people listen to Rogan than the fake news.

It must suck to constantly think about Trump 24/7.

I think Rogan's obvious point was that dark skin gets darker when exposed to a lot of sun and we call people Black when they are in fact Brown. Your point is apparently some sort of neo Maoist outrage that some old hippy was unable to censor Rogan from putting out a future message that was not approved by the establishment. If you don't like Rogan don't listen to him.

I have read this quote numerous times since you posted it, and I cannot find how this could be construed as "racist" in any way ?

Is it because he said someone was black ?

    Racism
    racism
, also called racialism, the belief that humans may be divided into separate and exclusive biological entities called “races”; that there is a causal link between inherited physical traits and traits of personality, intellect, morality, and other cultural and behavioral features; and that some races are innately superior to others.

Please demonstrate how Rogan's statement is racist.

I wouldn't call the comment racist, but it is rather silly.

In the US, when people refer to "blacks", they mean people of African origin.
That's why some people call them African Americans.
Surely you know this - but you just needed a cheap insult.

Honestly, it doesn't matter. Whatever people are called as a group is fluid. What a group views as acceptable today probably will be considered a hate crime in 50 years. Basically, some people have self esteem problems and that won't change.

    Joe Rogan says something dumb.

Somebody says Joe Rogan is racist.

Joe Rogan supporters jump on it and claim that "the left" is calling Joe Rogan racist.

Joe Rogan haters jump in and say he probably is racist.

Joe Rogan and Spotify get free publicity, and we're all wasting time on meta arguments on the internet.

Depends on the context of the conversation. You are taking a snippet out and calling that thought racist.

You left out something and that is the desire of the left to censor and attack Rogan because he puts out Covid information that is not in sync with the establishment narrative. The racism attack/claim is just a knee jerk attack by the left. Their issue with Rogan is not racism. Rather the issue is the left does not want a free exchange of information on Covid.

Now what do you think Rogan said that was dumb? Did he make any false claims you can cite?

There is nothing dumb about this discussion. The ability to receive information that is not controlled by the Government, the government/media complex, or a US oligarchy is the essence of a free society.

Joe Rogan says dumb stuff all the time. He will be the first to tell you.

Most of "the left" doesn't care about Joe Rogan. I am to the left of AOC, and i listen to and enjoy Rogan's podcast. I know plenty of liberals who do.

Out entire society is the victim of paid clicks. People post articles or tweet things that are inflammatory because they know that is what we click.

Once people start arguing about it, we align along our political views and argue about something we really couldn't care less about other than the fact that our political "enemies" are on the other side of.

We take the bait and things that are just silly or pathetic become viral arguments. It's not about politics, it's about our obsession for arguing and people taking advantage of that to make money.

lol ..... I've heard that too out of the Establishment loving Leftists. They don't even realize how they were manipulated and what they have become. It's kind of tragic.

    Neither.

I notice you did not quote Rogan saying “The Black and White thing is so strange because the shades are such a spectrum of shades of people" before you quoted the clothing comment.

Also, you don't quote what followed.

"Unless you are talking to someone who is, like, 100 percent African from the darkest place where they are not wearing any clothes all day and they have developed all of that melanin to protect themselves from the sun, even the term Black is weird.”

It is great I guess when liberals say the black and white thing is a social construct, but Rogan can't say it? Cause that is what he was saying.

And I don't think he meant no clothing. Rather he meant minimal clothing as any sensible person would do in a hot climate. And are you claiming that people with dark skin do not get darker from sun exposure?

Don't let the Dailybeast fool you. Rogan is a Democrat who endorsed Bernie Sanders. You know why Rogan is being attacked, I know it, and everyone reading this know it. It is because he does not take the establishment line on Covid.

In fairness, poor widdle Donnie's emotional growth was stunted at around age 3. I have a brother like that, still carrying a giant chip on his shoulder about how daddy ignored him (in that, he doesn't know how lucky he was), and mommy wanted to abort him (she didn't), and my older brother and I picked on him all the time (we were children, too!). He still lives in that space.

In Trump's case, his mother became very ill shortly after his younger brother was born, when Donald was about 2 yrs 9 mos old, and was essentially absent thereafter. A psychology student could make a nice masters or doctoral thesis about Donnie's mommy and daddy issues alone.

Counting numbers as usual? No one in politics gave a crap about "crowd size" until Trump kept bragging about his. IMHO it's nothing more than petty dick-waiving. Having a bigger audience doesn't make someone right. Any idiot can do or say something shocking or fantastic and gain a large following (Paris Hilton? Or pick any Kardashian). Substance, intelligence, and relevance are not necessary.

Getting into the semantics, and digging in to inanities like the various shades of black and white skin, is avoiding the isdue entirely.

Yes, my skin is pale beige/pink with thousands of freckles and moles, but I'm white as far as society and culture are concerned. Joe Rogan damn well knows better, knows full well the issues regarding race in our society, yet he chooses to resort to bring down to "is that guy really black?"

Ignorant, racist, or just baiting his audience? Perhaps that's why he's so popular.

There is no character by that name in any Batman movie. Did you mean Christian Bale, the actor?

If you're going to post an analogy, try to avoid confusion by knowing your subject before you post. :disbelief:

Yea I think there was a Bain character in the batman movie that came out around 2012. I remember because it was during the election cycle and Romney had worked for Bain capital.
