There is nothing difficult in this. But in that case, I do not understand howling about the fact that McCain was in captivity. By the way, he was a prisoner in a privileged camp. Unlike other American prisoners of war. He came to kill in a sovereign country, he killed, and taken prisoner, thanks to Vietnamese, he was not allowed to hide in the pond where he got after the catapult, and then Vietnamese doctors saved his life and health.
Therefore, the squeals that he was in captivity - are inappropriate.

As I like to say, if my wife's dog could actually talk, there would be some naysayers who would point out that she could speak only one language.
People no longer seem to understand the fundamental difference between a political-philosophy opponent and The Enemy.

What was once debated, in a civil manner, has turned into trench warfare...

If we're going to consider McCain a political philosophy opponent rather than having committed crimes against humanity, then what was the purpose of the Nuremburg trials at the end of WWII? What the German Nazis did was no worse than what McCain and his cohorts in the Foreign Relations Committee have been doing... Unless you feel there was more worth to the lives of those killed under the German Nazis, than those who are being killed by McCain? But isn't that a Nazi philosophy, that some lives are worth more than others?

I hope he recovers fully, but very, very slowly. Take as long as you need, John. In fact, why not just retire now?

The Russian hyperbole is delicious. It truly never gets old. Tell us more about Nuremberg because you got sanctions slapped on you, that you completely deserve. Give. Me. A. Break.

    Really?

It is my understanding that he refused special treatment. That is a part of his heroism.

If you will recall, there was no such country as "Vietnam" at that time.

There was South Vietnam, and North Vietnam--two separate countries.

Perhaps he would not have required "sav[ing]" if he had not been tortured by his captors.

As Wikipedia puts it: "[The North Vietnamese] beat and interrogated him to get information, and he was given medical care only when the North Vietnamese discovered that his father was a high-ranking admiral": https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_McCain

Interesting how your only concern with this is the political benefit for the Democratic Party. Another strange thing for a "progressive libertarian" to do.

Well, I suppose one difference--one big difference, in my estimation--is that the US, in Vietnam, was hardly comparable to the Nazis in WWII.

Do you believe that the US (and all who supported the Vietnam War) were comparable to the Nazis?

John McCain :salute: will show up for Senate ObamaCare vote!
    http://www.nbcnews.com/politics/con...ns-abound-eve-senate-health-care-vote-n786121
WASHINGTON — With a razor-thin margin for success in the balance, Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz. — recently diagnosed with an aggressive brain tumor — will return to Washington Tuesday to take a critical vote on health care. . . .

Will they pull it off?
By repealing first the GOP might get some Democratic votes in a new health care law to be discussed later. Enough to cover GOP defections of those who basically want no health care bill.

I do not like ObamaCare because it mandates paying profits to private health insurance companies.

    If not now, when
    If not
    :flagus:, who
Across an immense, unguarded, ethereal border, Canadians, cool and unsympathetic,
regard our America with envious eyes and slowly and surely draw their plans against us.
