It's cool that Cambridge is an inclusive environment. But they're not really inclusive are they?

They need to grow a pair like the University of Chicago which generally won't be bullied into allowing only politically correct speakers.

    Of course not.

Principles are about placing standards of conduct above personal interests.

I am from a Democratic Party family.
When my Party becomes so void of principles as to "fix" the Hillary nomination
I vote against my Party hoping principles will return.
Same in 1968 - NIXON vs Hubert. Democrats wanted a Peace Candidate and we were given an extension of LBJ's failed Vietnam policies.
People need one Party on their side. That's the Democratic Party.
And we must hold the Democratic Party to higher principles to keep it.

The Democratic Party activity in California, where it is legal,
involving ballot harvesting is revolting. The cause is so pure, and just
and for the people - principles can be sacrificed.
    Not Moi's Democratic Party.
Hope that makes a bit of sense even if you don't agree.

Yes, I hold the GOP to lower standards.
That's just Moi. As explained above.
    No paraphrasing needed.

So when you say that, "politics have become more void of principles", you mean the Democratic party has become more void of IT'S traditional principles?

The relative who's kept hidden from public view on account of being an idiot who brings the entire family into disrepute.

It might be his mother in a cunning disguise.

    Uncle <- actual uncle.

'Uncle' <- the fake one used for comedic purposes.

Although I don't know for sure so it might be his actual uncle and I can now set up in business as a psychic.

Maybe if you actually visited Germany (as I have) your stupid idea that the German people wouldn't be helpful wouldn't fly, because it's nearly completely bogus. You get that in Normandy, but not in Germany.

Sadly :( you edited out from the quote
    "No Paraphrasing Needed".

I said what I said and no "you mean" required.

But you went on to specifically talk about the Democratic party after you said "politics have become more void of principles" which is not Democrat specific.

So what is the principle ?
Do not allow anybody to take pictures of you ?
Do not stand near someone who has writing on their shirt ?

This is the best they could come up with ?
The guy is a public figure and takes thousands of pictures every month.
Do you think he should question everyone he meets what is his political views on anything that can be controversial ?
As if there is one subject in the world that no one will find it controversial ?
This is not even double standards, it is an insult to intelligence.
Shame on them, that is all I can say.
University is the place we all look up to keep the light of knowledge and they are betraying it for a lentil stew.

Well you're right, they didn't specify a principle. However, my guess is that, if asked, they would say that the principle is that bigotry/hatred is not allowed, or something along those lines.

What if the shirt depicted the lynching of a black person?

Only they have no evidence of any bigotry or hate by Dr. Peterson. So, this is not applicable.
The shirt depicted a political view of the person wearing it. Some people may even think he is a bigot or a racist.
You and I might not agree with that person, however it reflects exactly zero, on the man he took a picture with.

The bigotry here is displayed by the University, but this is not all it displays.
It displays the betrayal of the role that institute plays in western society which is something so much bigger.

Correct, at the very most it is guilt by association. To be fair, they didn't label him as bigot or as anything else.

Don't we have to say that it MIGHT mean that he agrees with it?
