I’m guessing there is unseen pressure on the king being exerted by someone

Maybe the 70-75% Palestinian majority in Jordan gives it's signals ...

You are not alone. My issue with such an action is that it amounts to throwing away the rule book - you know - UN Security council - international law and code of conduct - and so on.

Throwing away the rule book has consequences - bad ones.

Please post a link to the source for your claim that there are thousands of active duty Israeli Pilots. Sounds like first class BS to me :)

Power can be taken, and will.

The Americans aren't going to be willing to take the steps needed to protect conservative forces in the Arab world.

The Israelis needed to take a more conciliatory stance decades ago. They haven't, and as a result their position is going to weaken significantly.

You're guessing wrong. The Hashemites are about to lose their last country. The Saudis may survive, but won't be anything like they are today.

    1) what are the consequences of throwing away the rule book
    2) What are these consequences that are worse
    3) how does these seats at the table you refer to lead to these consequences.
    4) What do these seats at the table have to do with the Security Council.

We are giving nations who deserve no authority, for instance China and Russia, a voice in international politics which ties our hands in dealing with them honestly.

i don't suggest that we throw away the rule book, i suggest we amend it to diminish voices that aren't good for the world. before the UN becomes a rubber stamp for what bad countries want, which has largely already happened. and under NO circumstances should the UN be allowed any authority over USA domestic policy and very little influence over American foreign policy

You are suggesting we throw away the rule book... saying Israel can seize territory is is not legally entitled to - in violation of the agreement that allowed Israel to exist in the first place - is throwing away the rule book.

Suggesting that China and Russia should not be members of the Security Council - is throwing away the rule book. There is no rule book - if China and Russia are not on board. The whole point of the rule book was to get nations like China and Russia and everyone else to agree to certain codes of conduct. That rule book has worked pretty well.

Once again - what are the consequences of throwing away the rule book ? You seem to be have not considered these consequences.

Of course they are - they are the one's doing the bombing of innocent civilians. Some reservist does not get to see first hand what is happening .. and neither do the others serving. Further - just because the article mention's 27 active pilots .. does not mean that all these other people you mention do not agree with the pilots = logical fallacy.

Funny, they went to Palestine as refugees seeking sanctuary, abused the natives... and took their land and water.

The Hashemite King was from Mecca, but the Jordanians and Palestinians have been around for thousands of years.

I think he might be thinking about Israel being able to achieve her long time plan of removing the Palestinians from their homeland and putting them in Jordan, I noted the other day Jordanian's believing that was what was going on.

But required by the Christian Zionists so that Israel will have control of the land their bible says, so that they can go into Raputure, destroying everyone else, including most Jews in Armageddon.

I never ever would have guessed when I was growing up that the west would have such religious extremism running their foreign policy.
