    Trump continues to undo Obama's Presidency.

    This is good for American jobs and energy independence.

    Kudo's to the Obama appointed judge for making the right ruling.

    I am happy to hear that all of those Jill Stein (Green Party) Voters who cost Hillary the 2016 Election (whose votes facilitated Trump's Election, just as much as Trump's Voters) are happy to have helped elect this Environmental Champion.

    A 2 trillion stimulus makes the US a socialist country without argument. Good-bye Capitalism. It was nice knowing you. And I thought Bernie was off his rocker. Hey, is there free tuition for all in the package? Or student loan debt forgiveness too? May as well go whole donkey. Next step Communism? Don't say it couldn't happen. I never thought I'd live in a socialist country. We are all socialists now. Don't deny it, but don't call me comrade, yet.

    Fracking can’t compete with the price of oil as it is.

    Thats because of the gas war between Russia and the Saudis, as well as decreased demand due to the China virus.

    This provides more options which is a good thing.

    I think you 1) have a deep misunderstanding about what was passed 2) clearly have no idea what socialism is 3) the dems did attempt to extort this relief aid by adding socialist policies

    You are funny. You obviously have no idea what Capitalism is. Just so we have a level playing field, Capitalism is defined by Webster as;

    "an economic system characterized by private or corporate ownership of capital goods, by investments that are determined by private decision, and by prices, production, and the distribution of goods that are determined mainly by competition in a free market".

    The free market determined that many companies should fail and the Govt. stepped in to prevent it. Investors fled, companies should be out of business. It's Obama all over again. The GOP is the new left.

    Let me remind you what Republicans said about Obama's bailout;

    "JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon took aim at socialism, warning it would be “a disaster for our country,” because it produces “stagnation, corruption and often worse.”

    Dimon should know. He was at the helm when JPMorgan received a $25bn socialist-like bailout in 2008, after it and other Wall Street banks almost tanked because of their reckless loans.

    "On November 18, 2008, Mitt Romney wrote an op-ed piece for the New York Times titled “Let Detroit Go Bankrupt."

    “Forget corporate welfare,” said Leslie Paige, media director of Citizens Against Government Waste, in an email to the Huffington Post: “We are now seeing full-scale corporate adoption.”

    "The day the restructuring of General Motors was announced on March 30, 2009, Rush Limbaugh accused the president of simply wanting to “take over” the auto industry, so that it would “become another industry doing his bidding.”

    So there you are, God almighty, er Rush, hated the Obama plan but the Trump plan is better???? Just admit that Trump out Obama'd Obama. We are socialists now, no going back. Oh the irony. Bernie's plan looks tame compared to what Trump did.

    That's a shame. We've proven that Oklahoma's earthquakes are due to fracking. Destroy Earth and human lives, but some of us will have cheaper energy, so yay, team?

    Decrease in demand worldwide, estimated at 20 million barrels a day.

    Not sure how this will help unless you want to pump more barrels which makes things worse, it might lower costs to producers on federal land. Not much was revised according to the article.

    You would think those rules mandated would be a part of regular operation, guess they are to burdensome for producers.

    Trump has said this oil will go to the strategic oil reserve. Buy it cheap and stack it deep.

    Trump Announces Massive Oil Purchase for Strategic Petroleum Reserve
    The move is expected to benefit U.S. oil producers.

    On Friday, President Donald Trump announced that he has instructed the Secretary of Energy to begin buying tens of millions of barrels of oil for the Strategic Petroleum Reserve. "We're going to fill it right up to the top," he said in a White House speech that primarily focused on the response to the coronavirus.

    Your article is from two weeks ago, although we don't need the stimulus package to get barrels in the reserve.

    fwiw, not everyone, at least yet.

    in my family circle, approx 20 people, only 3 have felt the impact financially.

    1 hairdresser, 1 retail sales manager. out of work. 1 airline employees that would lose 1/2 of salary w/o bailout.

    the rest in that group, 17 havent seen any change in status, and a couple are pulling overtime.

    however , to be fair, half of that group have seen the 401k drop 20ish%. the others either have no stocks or had conservative portfolios due to being retired. with no bailout the 401ks would be even harder hit.

    it seems like a good strategy to fill the reserve, smart hedge IMO.

    curious, how much can we actually store?

    hiw much can the world stash before the wells have no place to put product?

    Approx 165mil barrels to top off. (approx 3.55 trillion $ @ 21.51 at this time.)

    12 days US daily capacity if it all went into the reserve. But who trusts the EIA and API.

    Not going to happen unless another mandate is made, as I sighted above. They were counting on the stimulus package for this to happen. Also more than likely we would use cheap high quality foreign crude to fill the reserve rather than low quality shale crude.

    Input and output to the reserve would be an issue as well, its mostly by vessel and not pipelines from the fields.
