    A judge with some integrity!

Cue the incoming pity party. I'm sure one of his devotees will be posting a new whiny letter from the 45th loser.

It would be nice if the standards would be held to everyone without the partisan views.
I'm about sick of hearing about "TDS". Trump is a scumbag who doesn't care about the constitution or law.
Anyone supporting Trump cannot say they care about the constitution or rule of law. If that is your stance, then just install whoever you want into the office of the president. Just think how much time and trouble we could save if we just installed the president and not have to hold those pesky elections.

Like a Clinton judge in California wants the issue. Like Leftists will run to this TDS read meat and nothing will come of it. Whenever I hear "insurrection" anymore I just laugh and laugh and laugh wondering what percent of the population is simply that stupid to believe such a claim.

"More than a year after the attack on our Capitol, the public is still searching for accountability," the judge wrote. "This case cannot provide it. The Court is tasked only with deciding a dispute over a handful of emails. This is not a criminal prosecution; this is not even a civil liability suit. At most, this case is a warning about the dangers of 'legal theories' gone wrong, the powerful abusing public platforms, and desperation to win at all costs."

    Yawn.

You should switch to "sedition" like everybody else has... it's just as funny and a genuine criminal statute....

The only people I know that go with "sedition" are total Leftists partisans and/or morons. I know of no normal people that use that word for Jan. 6 and believe it to be true.

Play all the petty semantics as you wish, but if are going to deny that there is a person that plead guilty to seditious conspiracy, might as well live in a dream.

Fine, stay in denial, in the end, Trump will go down worse than Benedict Arnold, and all those that supported the insurrection.

The same way Vlad Putin ate Trump like a sandwich for four years. The judge is spot on.

Why is a Congressional Committee conducting a criminal investigation?

    Unconstitutional.

'Likely'. If a judge uses the word 'likely', that means there is a Grand Canyon of 'probably not' involved.

If Trump broke the law, then he should be held accountable, but a judge using the word 'likely' is hedging his bets heavily.

They aren't. They are conducting a legislative investigation with a stated legislative purpose that the courts have backed up. They have no power to levy criminal charges themselves. I'm sorry that every branch of government disagrees with you.

A partisan judge made this ruling? Color me shocked.... On appeal, likely the courts won't be as avid.

Don't they ever get tired of this nothing porn? Worse yet, don't they get tired of subjecting us to it? I'd love it if Trump suffered a stroke and died, that way we'd be spared this drivel for the rest of time.

Yes they are, separation of powers, Congress has NO authority to conduct a criminal investigation. This judge based his ruling on it being "likely criminal" not "likely legislative".

What is the stated legislative purpose?

In addition to that minor word change, I suggest you also get used to the concept that the "1/6 committee" has moved WAY BEYOND the actual events of 1/6. As horrible as that day was, there was a ton of **** going on behind the scenes that make 1/6 actually look like a "normal tourist visit"....

To reiterate for the masses: Trump hasn't been charged with a crime, Trump hasn't been arranged on charges and we know not of any ongoing DOJ investigations into Trump. What this is, is an opinion voiced by a judge masquerading through the ruling process. He *thinks* a crime was committed, but he can't name it, and neither can anyone else.

He also didn't try..... that's up to the DOJ....

"President Trump corruptly attempted to obstruct the joint session of Congress on January 6, 2021"

There are 2 options there..... regular obstruction (1512) and seditious conspiracy (2834)....

    I vote option B myself....

There's a big problem(and i've mentioned this when tackling it, but I'll tackle it briefly again). The prosecution lacks the nexus to claim that the President obstructed the joint session of Congress. Even if one believes the theory to be invalid and improper, in itself the objections raised could not rise to the level of obstruction(otherwise, you'd have to hold every house member who raised an objection for obstruction. Oh, and to be even more fairer, how about those who 'obstructed' in 2016?). The other issue at play is that whether it's obstruction or seditious conspiracy, to claim either would mean that the very nature of the objections raised by House members would be 'unlawful'. It would be a pretty huge claim to make and it would again implicate several scores of House members.

On this alone, it's very doubtful that the DOJ will proceed. I also wonder separately about the damage to the institutions(remember those words) that would come from making criminals of politicians following the dubious legal theory. I think it could weaken the foundation of the House and it isn't a proper remedy(the proper remedy which has already taken place is to make it so that the dubious legal theory would be utterly denied by the House.)

Now, there's another issue I have with Nexus: The issue of the riots themselves. While Trump did pretty much make the improper suggestions that Pence could overturn the elections, that in of itself is not proof that Trump counted on or wanted to have a crowd stir up a frenzy at the capitol. Indeed, judges around the country have soundly rejected that argument. I don't think they realize that in so doing, they undermine a seditious argument.

TLDR: pigs will fly before Trump is ever before a judge on this matter.

And since Congress can only investigate for specific legislative purpose as I have fully documented I still await an answer especially since a judge just said it is for a criminal investigative purpose.

There's ZERO comparison between what the cowards in Congress did and what T**** led....

They took a vote (a very shitty baseless vote) to disqualify some states. That's not obstruction of anything, except common sense.

The plan(s) to overturn an election (Clark, Eastman, Rudy) was a whole different ball game.

I still expect you'll see that someday....

ANYONE with eyesight SAW THE INVASION AND INSURRECTION of our nation's capital. The rabid mob climbing all over it before breaking the windows and forcing entry and assaulting the security personnel. TV can rerun it anytime they want.
