Judge says Deutsche Bank, Capital One can give Trump financial records to House Democrats

    PS

      • A federal judge in New York City on Wednesday said Deutsche Bank and Capital One can turn over financial documents related to President Donald Trump and his businesses in response to subpoenas from House Democrats.
      • Judge Edgardo Ramos’ ruling came after a hearing at which lawyers for Trump, his three older children, and the Trump Organization argued that the subpoenas should be quashed.
      • His decision came two days after another federal judge, in Washington, D.C., said Trump’s accountants at the firm Mazars had to comply with a congressional subpoena for his financial records.

    Edgardo Ramos..
I feel another deja vu moment coming on. :) Trump won't like this.

This is all moving much faster than I imagined.

Yawn you guys always win in lower courts because you file where you know you'll win. This will be immediately appealed and will end up in the Supreme court then we'll find out who's right.

What we are seeing is blatant obstruction of justice.

I don't believe our justice system can last if they were to accept this as an acceptable legal approach.

So far, it looks like the courts may stand up!!

I suspect the SC won't hear nonsense like appeals of this ruling.

It's pure obstruction of justice, with Trump's arguments before the court being without value - as the judge put it.

“Who’s right”, you mean who currently has stacked the court? Why should the house oversight committee not have access to trumps records? Any reason? Y’all will regret throwing away the checks and balances one day — the whole country will.

Yeah, sometimes we don't stop to add them up.
Judge orders redactions of Stone removed from Mueller report.
    Same for Flynn.
Orders DOJ to turn over intel information to the house intel committee.
Holes appear in Trump taxes release.
NY to release state tax returns.
Allow subpoena to proceed with Trumps accountants.
    Same with his bank records.

Maybe this is why Trump was grumpy this morning. It's moving pretty fast.

You do realize Obama has been caught spying like Nixon not Trump? Trump has not been caught spying. Obama has. All government officials that break the law including Trump should face what ever penalty they deserve.

So I assumed you would be in favor of the government doing a 2 year investigation into whether or not the warrants were needed?

Oh how the Obama worshippers cried when Obama's individual mandate was striken down. The DNC really lost their collective marbles when the DOJ said it could dismantle ACA entirely. NBC is reporting that at least 2 banks have complied with subpoenas and provided records. Presumably Trump haters at the banks quickly complied before a higher court could issue an injunction. Anyway, the silver lining is that the DOJ is reviewing cases where court activists have issued nationwide injunctions. AG Barr is going to submit a case to the SUPREME court and get a PERMANENT ruling on injunctions being limited to the judges jurisdiction. Congress has likely just provided the DOJ with the means to get a PERMANENT ruling on committee subpoenas too. Everyone knows House (D)'s don't need more ammunition to impeach, and it's very doubtful they're going to find any in bank records. The price the DNC will pay beforee 2020 even gets here is their ability to"resist" judicially, and harass the executive witth circus performances.

We need to figure out how to fire the entire congress and start fresh with single term limits. Congress is the poster boy for incompetence.

Trump knows the Dems will eventually probe his financial irregularities, and he will soon realize that his great economy isn't a Get Out of Jail Free Card.

It's OK. A clean slate would be a good idea. However only the congress has single digit approval ratings.

I still haven't heard how it's construed to be the business of "House Democrats" to dig into citizen Donald Trump's private bank records before he became president. Has Trump been formally charged with anything that this should be allowed...?

Frankly, as the entire world has seen, "Witch-hunt #1" failed -- miserably. So, now these "House Democrats" will double-down on making themselves look like hateful clowns with how many more witch-hunts...?

[IMG]."After all, the show must go on!" :cynic:-- "One and done...."

lol... there is no crime stated. You don't get to just take anyone's private financials, because you want to see them.

This will go to a non-Obama appointed judge and will lose on appeal. What you Leftists are supporting is tyranny and it appears you don't realize it, or don't care.

America is about Freedom, Liberty, and yes... Privacy. No crime state = No Fishing Expedition.
