Jury rules against dad trying to save his 7-year-old from gender ‘transition’

If my kid said s/he identified as an alcoholic, I would not be allowed to get the kid drunk.

The Jury blocked the dad from protecting his kid and placed a restraining order on him. Maybe he's a real bastard? Anyone know more about this?

 

Allowing a 7 year old to mutilate his body bssed on how they feel is child abuse.

 

I keep reading that there are no laws blocking a mom from giving her kid puberty blockers. Does there need to be? Is child abuse illegal? Isn't this such abuse?

 

7 is too young to be making that decision for yourself or have somebody else make it for you...

I agree, most people that identify as transgender at this age do so because of exterior influences and eventually go back to their actual sex. Suicide rates go through the roof. We should attempt to stop as much bullying as possible against trans youth but it should stop there, medical alterations and pharmacological treatments should not be allowed until they are an adult.

What it tells me is that we are trapped in a cult of reliance on "experts". A bunch of soft science odd-balls all agreed this 7 year old should face sterilization rather than develop naturally, and very likely, when he turns around 13, seeing girls of the same age grow curves, becoming a very horny, normal young male.
This sort of thing should not be happening to a child.

The jury heard the testimony of weirdos that stand to gain money and fame by being the man that bites a dog and relied upon them rather than keep their brains turned on. Shameful.

This, "mother" deserves jail time. In a men's prison.

 

Sincere question - are you truly trying to understand the mindset of transgender people? If so, how many have you spoken to, asked questions of, tried to understand? I would say that, without that conversation, you will never understand...

I'm not trying to understand transgender people so much in this instance but why this happened in this instant case. Why was the dad disregarded? Is he a monster? The Jury said go for it. Why? What compelling data and testimony moved the jury to decide as they did? This all seems wildly counter intuitive.

But again, why did the Jury decide as they did? I would say, from what your link reads, they relied upon the testimony of so-called experts and applied it over their own good senses. This all is very shocking.

Will the kid want to be a woman when 20 years of age? Maybe. Then go for it. But at 7? 1: You shouldn't take the kid's word for what the kid wants. When I was 7, I was certain I should live on a diet of chocolate only. 2: This kid, should this have all been wrong and wants to be male, is likely to be sterilized by this abuse. It should be criminal.

 

lets see what does the average dad in the US pay for when the children live with the mother and he lost custody ?

+ medication seem pretty expensive there so my gues is the mother wil no doubt try to force him to pay for the sexchange if she gets the change

 

Couldn't agree more ego, this stuff is getting crazy. I barely remember what I was thinking at 7 and my god I shouldn't have been making decisions on my future other than throwing allowance into savings account. Sad day when courts get involved in this kind of crap.

"Experts" told this Jury it was the right thing to do and the Jury appears to have relied upon them rather than use their own good judgement.

on the brite side, when the kid hits puberty and wants to get laid but can't, his frustration will grow to the point of killing his parents & then himself... gotta love darwin

 

There should be no medical transitioning until the person is legally an adult. I don't care if the kid wants to live as their gender identity and if the parents want to let them, but no medical procedures or drugs should be allowed until the person consents as a legal adult.

These are not the types of decisions that should be made before you've gone through puberty to begin with.

 

What if the kid decided they wanted to cut their legs off?

Are we at the point now to where we will force parents to mutilate their children if the child wants it?
