This is true. At the same token, I can't help but wonder what would have happened if a white actor tried to frame a black person for a crime that never happened(ie: the opposite of what actually took place.) Would that same white actor not face jail time? I hate to think of it in that lens, but that's the lens that we have to think of it, until these political crimes are treated equally.

 

I think it is an interesting question and I am sure the standard tribalism would kick in but I wouldn't be surprised if it has happened before. Maybe not the exact same situation with a actor trying to advance their career but I am sure there are ample examples of people blaming blacks for crimes that never happened or were made up. Whether it was for sympathy, to explain a loss, for attention, or whatever I am sure it has happened in the past.

I honestly think that blacks are way more racist toward blacks than whites are.

As I said in the other three 3 years and he serves half then 5 years probation and full restitution for the cost is the investigation.

He went on a national meida campaign telling his lies.
He has shown not the least amount of remorse and I feel certain that if he suddenly decides to do so at his sentencing hearing even to the extent of a confession the judge will completely ignore it as self serving "acting".

I'm not an expert on Illinois criminal statutes, but I would recommend whatever sentence is comensurate with the misdemeanors for whch he was convicted, taking into account the severity of the offense, victim impact, etc..

Agreed. In Juicy's case, the restitution could go into the millions as it is reported his hoax cost the Chicago PD 3,000 man-hours. And he should reimburse the people of Chicago every penny.

I'd give him 5-10 years with early parole after the third year once he has satisfied the court that he is repentant and learned his lesson. Minimum security prison.
